Second hand Karizma R

Hi Guys,
I am looking to buy a second hand Karizma R. I am specifically looking for any models between 2009-2012. I would like to know the second hand market value of models. I have checked out couple of bikes here in bangalore. There are lots of bikes available but my only concern is paying the right money for the bike. If senior members can help me with the market value of the bikes it would be of great help.

In the meantime,
1) i really like a white Karizma R 2011 model. The guy is quoting Rs 65000. I know this is a little high. The bike has run for 21000kms and has a single owner. I have test ridden the bike. The bike has no problems. Has a good service history and maintained very well. Is this a good choice? The Price i am quoting is Rs 55000 max. Please help me with your valuable comments.
2) Additionally, i have seen a lot of ZMR's for sale @ Rs 55000 on OLX. Maybe with a little negotiation i can bring the price down.

Which is the better of the above two?

The bike will be used for commuting purpose within the city limits and occasional trips once in 3 months.

Dear All..

Is any body having any idea from where i could able to source a golden color silencer muffler for 2006 ZMA. Mine is stainless steel color.

I tried here in each and every show room and Parsha auto as well (main hero dealer) but not finding any.

I am ready to source and bear the cost from out of Bangalore as well. Can any body please help me with this.

The standard ZMA Silencer is Stainless steel. A Golden color coating is given by Manufacturer for cosmetic appeal. If you try in Bangalore in Auto paint or bigger spares shop, you will be able to get this paint which you can use on your bike...it is a clear coat golden color paint which comes in a spray can....

Actually i was looking for the OEM golden one but sadly it is not available now a days.

The OEM golden exhaust plate was a standard accessory of the first gen karizma (2004). I don't think you will find it anywhere now.

Its available here in cochin, in focuz motors( a Hero Motorcorp. dealer). If you can make a call and pay them through online bank transfer incuding the courier charges they will dispach it for you.

Is it true that hero is gonna stop the new karizma??
A showroom guy had told that the old beauty will be back in the coming months
Can any one throw some light on this ??

Yes the old beauty will be back with the 20 bhp engine re-worked for better refinement and valve train problem sorted.

Also the rear tyre will be 120 section and front one 90/90-18 section.

The engine will be re-tuned to rev more freely and give better top end power.

Hero has collected feedback from all karizma owners. Even some customers looking for upgrade.

I am using my friends Karizma R for time being. I noticed that the engine oil was leaking from the oil drain bolt. I have replaced the oil drain bolt but still the oil leaks . What could be the reason ? Any suggestions ??

Did you change O-ring along with it.If not do it.also check threads for any damage.

The mechanic did use an O ring . I guess he has used an old O ring . What to do if there are any damages on the threads of the engine side ? Is a tapping tool that big available for re threading ?

Start by changing O ring.If issue is not resolved take it to machine shop they will figure something out.
