BBS/BLR are different cities. Expecting 35 in city *may* be too much, but 31-32 is possible. Also, 6k is max torque range. Keep revs between 3500 and 5000 and you should be happy.

Guys any light on the above link, I assume its a kit to rebuild the internal parts of a zma's carb, correct me if I am wrong?
Also is this a good alternative, my AFR screw is damaged terribly(deformed), will this help?
Thanks in advance.Last edited by nareshdas; 06-24-2015, 05:09 PM.

...and mine is no stock bike. No regrets !!!
Try to fill in petrol only from Shell stations. Yesterday I filled 850 ml petrol in a 750 ml soda bottle from a Indian Oil petrol station near BTM layoutOriginally posted by jpZMA View PostHi Team,
Finally I brought my bike to bangalore, replaced the front fork oils, changed the accelerator and clutch wires, charged the battery and the monster is ready to move. I feel like my bike is as new as it was before 3 years. Touched 25k on odo and the machine is smooth and responsive.
One thing I saw that my bike is not returning a good mileage. Though its on bumper to bumper traffic in bangalore, still I could expect 35Kmpl at least. For last 3 fills I got an average of 28kmpl (I am not a hard ripper, I prefer riding below 6K). my bike is totally a stock one. I didn't have any modifications on it. Checked the air filter as well. In moderate riding conditions in bhubaneswar, I was getting 40-42 kmpl. So do you guys have any suggestions to improve the mileage?
Change your air filter
Ride below 5k RPM

No stock bike, that is ok, but how did you raise the rev cutoff limit? AFAIK, the engine cuts off at 9.5k. Stock engine has redline at 8.2k itself.Originally posted by Only Amit... View PostI get an average of 28kmpl by keeping the revs between 3500 to 11000

You however are talking about 11k.

Re: Karizma/Karizma R
Yes, ZMA engine revs up to 9.5k RPM With the stock CDI. With the RC CDI mine revs up to 11k RPM in first 2 gears, 10k in 3rd and up to 9-9.2k RPM in 4-5th gear. It takes longer to reach higher RPMs in 4th/5th gear.Originally posted by Divya Sharan View PostNo stock bike, that is ok, but how did you raise the rev cutoff limit? Now a days I am taking it easy and not trying to abuse the old horse. It is also not as quick as it was a year before

Re: Karizma/Karizma R
You can buy it from any shop or svc station. Are you planning to put it in your ZMA?Originally posted by vineeshvv View PostAny way to get a pulsar 220/200 rear sprocket alone ??
Let me note down my observation with having 37 teeth sprocket in ZMA.- Touches higher speed in lower RPM. In 5th gear, you can do 60 in 3.5k RPM.
- Engine will feel more relaxed at higher speed in highways as you need to rev less.
- Slightly better top end
- Bike will feel sluggish and loss in acceleration.
- 5th gear will be very tall, So in highways you need to shift down every time you want to overtake a vehicle.
- Chain life will be less

Thank you for the suggestion. Will always fill in Shell stations. I am planning to pay KA road tax this saturday. Could you please quote me the amount I need to pay for lifetime road tax in KA and also if I need to take KA resistration number?Originally posted by Only Amit... Re: Karizma/Karizma R
Re-registration with KA number is NOT mandatory however there is a catch. If you pay only the road tax and do not get KA plates, you won't be reimbursed your road tax amount should you leave the state in near future.Originally posted by jpZMA View PostThank you for the suggestion. The amount depends on the age of the vehicle. Expect ~10k (including all costs) for upto a 5 year old vehicle.Got a $5 head? Get a $5 helmet.

Re: Karizma/Karizma R
Guys, Need a small help. Can anyone recommend a good bike cover for Karizma which covers it completely.
Please if you can share the shop in Delhi/Gurgaon or share an online link that will be really helpful.
There are too many bad covers available online these days that it is difficult to find the right one.
Regards

Re: Karizma/Karizma R
well i already know that fact but i am using 17 inch wheel with 120 profile tyre , thats why i need 2-3 less teeth on rear or 1 more teeth on front , obviously front 14 teeth sproket is not avilable so the only option is pulsar 200/220 rear sproket, if the rear sproket is avilable please let me knowOriginally posted by Only Amit...
