    The stock bulbs are suicidal
Switching to philips extreme vision 100+
Can some one recommend good pilot bulbs?
I want something that would have illumination, not looking out for the show/fancy ones

The best illumination currently can be had from led bulbs.
By 100+ what do you mean? 100w? If so will your bike electricals hold up? Many of us are running 55/60w h/l without much problem. But 100 w?

            Sharing it with a friend
Did a lot of reading and understood that these bulbs are direct fit, plug and play

I wanted to upgrade the pilot lamps as well
So was seeking opinions for the same
            However, I've found these
            "Philips X-treme Vision LED W5W T10"
Can anyone review them, if they're using or have used them?
Or can suggest something that offers good illumination

This thread again needs guidance of senior members and those who are responsible towards their bikes.
If there is half baked information or information without facts, it's better not to share, as it might end up in some unsuspecting newcomer ruining their ride.

Hi Guys..planning this year in june- Lucknow-delhi-Srinagar-Leh-Manali- Chandigarh-Lucknow, 5000kms mega ride on my ZMA.
Few Cosmetic changes I am planning for this ride as I dont want to damage expensive plastic parts-

                      1) Remove Headlight front fairing and install round headlight or other lightweight headlight assembly.
                      2) Remove engine guard plastic fairing and put CBZ leg guard ( heard that leg guard will hit front mudguard in big potholes)
                      3) Install 12v socket mobile,camera charger.
                      4) Tubeless tyres- already changed to it.
                      5) Install small carrier in place of rear grab rail.

After returning I will shift to stock. Pl give your opinion.

I would not recommend to take off fairing coz it helps you big time from wind during long rides..

The electric starter from past few days was not functioning properly, as in some times it would and sometimes it wouldn't. Initially thought the battery to have given out, but later checked for other parameters like Headlight/Horn etc etc. All of them were working fine. It would just make a sound like we get when we press the start button on a dead battery. However was able to use the Kick starter all the time when the bike wasn't starting with the self starter. Dont know since when the bushes were broken, the bike was running fine and showing no other indications. Yesterday when the bike was at service, asked my mechanic to have a check on the starter relay and motor indicating the problems. Relay and other connections/wiring was fine, hence came to a conclusion.

The source of the problem happened to be that the brushes in the motor had cut into pieces. Replaced the brushes with that of a Pulsar Classic/UG1. The thickness of the bush is slightly bigger, about a mm or two, so a few strokes from the file is required. And also the width is slightly smaller of the Pulsar ones. However even Unicorn ones are direct fit in case you are not able to find the Zma ones. Didn't bother searching for Zma bush as it was already half past nine when we came to know about the problem.

The bike is running absolutely fine now and will update on any changes, if required going forward.
