Please check if your Air filter is clogged..and change it..otherwise a wrong AFR setting or bad spark plug is the reason for your poor FE...I am assuming your engine is in good condition and does not consume oil.

Pls do give a description of your bike's working. Starting..normal or with choke, idling speed , whether smoke observed, pick up etc. I am sure your problem will be solved soon.

Feeling affect of summers in engine. I cant touch the crankcase cover both sides with my finger. Its too hot. Engine feels rough also if I ride in heavy traffic in lower gears for some time. Also I feel little bit drop in performance and hear "tik tik" tappet sound in hot engine. AFR is 3.5 turns.

I think hero engine oil is not working good in hot conditions. I am thinking to change engine oil from Hero stock oil 10w30 to 10w40 ( Shell AX7 ).
            What you guys suggest?

When are you resetting the trip meter?
Immediately after hitting reserve or when you fill petrol in the bunk?

Also, interested to know - you were riding CBZ(first model) or CBZ extreme before?

Thanks for your replies . Let me answer your questions..

Please check if your Air filter is clogged..and change it..otherwise a wrong AFR setting or bad spark plug is the reason for your poor FE...I am assuming your engine is in good condition and does not consume oil.

Air filter is not a stock one, can feel it from the sound. And will try to find out the afr turns and air filter brand by tomorrow. The engine is good, non smoky and its the main reason behind buying this bike.

Pls do give a description of your bike's working. Starting..normal or with choke, idling speed , whether smoke observed, pick up etc. I am sure your problem will be solved soon.

Starting depends on time. If its too early in the morning i use choke + opening and closing of tank lid( my friend taught me this lesson, worthy) , and it starts without choke if its 10-11AM ( no shadows in my usual parking area). Idling is around 1100 rpm, as i already told it has no smoke and in pick up, smoked my friend's 2010 zma, and im extremely satisfied about the power.

hahaaa.... Just after reserve symptoms struggled the bike. And before karizma, it was a cbz classic(2001 model, still there in my parking).. this is my 6th bike, have owned yamaha rx100 rx 135 5speed
suzuki shogun and a rxz 5 speed before.

okay, , just wanted to confirm that. Some people do the other way and complain about mileage, so just confirming that.
If the filter is not stock one, that could be the very reason for poor mileage.
AFR also could have been set to match the fuel needs of the current filter. Check filter and AFR.

And, RX100, Rx135, RXZ, Shogun..... really exciting list!

The filter is a k&n, and some dust is there. And afr was 2 turns. Made the afr 3.5 turns now. Any idea about cleaning k&n filters? And the stock air filter box cover is missing.

Get a stock filter and box cover, im assuming the AIS is clogged by now, so Chuck it. And do clean the intake throughly before reverting. Take extra care about cleaning the crank breather pipe

Breather pipe is closed by a bolt, I am not sure whether I have observed the right pipe or not. I am planning to put this filter for a time, and what is that ais? Advanced ignition system? Pls make it clear

Hi mates am planning to change clutch plate by myself. Do I need any special tool ? What are the key points I should check and ensure before removing the case ? What are the parts which are must to replace when I remove the side case ?

I have good experience in RE engines.. this is the first time am letting my hands on HH engine. I hope it's not rocket science.

Do change the pressure plates along with the clutch plate and replace the engine oil as well.

i would still recommend to get it done from service station and may be u can witness the process for the first time rather than straight doing it.
