As you said i left the bike to mechanic. I dropped the idea of doing it myself. As soon as I start removing oil drain plug it got damaged. :banghead:

Was researching about this some time back. Ended up with Gulf Pride 4T plus. 20w40 mineral oil. The bike did feel smooth and didn't feel much heat. Since, you have crossed 7k you might go for semi synthetic.

I would suggest you to flip back pages, you'll not believe the amount of knowledge shared on this thread on engine oil to choose from. Go through the posts and I'm sure you'll get the right answers.

ravi@17bhp, Sorry to hear about the crash. Me too had a small accident last week and need to replace a couple of body parts.
Just wanted to ask if you happen to know whether the back of headlight unit which has two clamps that go into the two holes i have highlighted in your pic below..is it available separately ? Or would I need to buy the whole headlight unit?
Went to the auto market here today and nobody stocks genuine Karizma body parts sadly! Haven't taken her to any mechanic yet, just removed the broken fairings by myself to assess the damage.

@gk the rear part with that bullet like mounts which you have mentioned in the picture will not be available separately. You will have to buy the complete headlamp assembly.

If you still have the clamp/pins that go into the holes, you can fix them with araldite as I've mentioned earlier. If not, you'll need to buy the headlamp assembly.

@AK3D, YES! Fortunately I did not throw away those mounts when I removed the fairings and headlight. I too am thinking of fixing them with mseal/araldite. The headlight unit costs bloody 1400!!!

Bought the rest of fairings and stuff from Hero today. Total damage Rs. 4000 Damn the body parts are insanely costly.

If you have an insurance, why don' t you claim for this. You can also get the new headlight assembly without spending much.

I had met a HH engineer who had undergone training in HH works on the upcoming ZMA/ZMR . As per him , in the ZMA the Cam is changed to high lift and a suitable Piston are the changes in the engine , and in the Carburetor some changes to meet the increased fueling is done. In ZMR, apart from the Piston and Cam, The Rotor now has more magnets on the outer ,and the Injector has more number of holes in the tip to give better fuel misting and volume....
He also confirmed that all present ZMA and ZMR are compatible for this up gradation with the respective parts changed...

The HX 250 is expected in September at less than 1.7 L.

Sir i had previously told about the changes and all somewhere in here or ZMR thread. And also all changes are compatible and most probably anybody going for full engine overhaul will go for the changes obviously.

And thanks for confirming the same. Waiting for the new ZMR.

Guys, I am shocked to see a crack developing in RHS fairing where it is connected with tank on a screw in just 7 months of life. Pl see attached pics.
What to do? Can I claim it in warranty?
