Asking for curiosity, anyone has tried liquid cooling or similar things?

Removed the insulator and remembered someone inquiring about the O ring a while ago so snapped some pics.

Had some trouble with the bolts, they got deformed had to cut a slit and use an impact driver, courtesy Sarin bro.

Why would you want it..air cooling seems to be enough.

There are two places that I can think of.(I will let you know once you tell me your idea)
One will increase the pre-load on spring and the other will increase the effective length of forks.

Not at the bottom I assume it wont come out easy in the future, im thinking top, and the shim would have an insert portion to go into the spring, for an overall snug fit.

The intention is simple, no more bottoming out.

And practically theres no way of increasing effective length, or so I believe.

Try putting a suitable sized spacer below the top cap bolt just above the spring. One such spacer is used in splendor. Part #3 is a spacer/collar. It will increase the pre-load on the spring and prevent bottoming out to a certain extent.
You can use a hollow curtain pipe and cut it to a suitable length using a hacksaw.

Take my advice with a pinch of salt. @psr and @sibun should be able to give you a better advice.

Yeah, but thinking of the hot air blowing city rides. Bike is heating heavily.

                  • Re: Karizma/Karizma R

I am taking a step back ... have gone back to 223 cc for the time being. After a small hi-revving trip in December 2013 I had observed a sound from the engine like the piston was loose inside the cylinder. I took the bike to my mech and opened it up. The cylinder had marks on the front where the piston was rubbing against it.

Yesterday I took my original cyl/piston and put them in . I have asked my mech to repair the modded cylinder. In the meanwhile let me see what the 2014 zma has to offer. I cant use the hi lift cam with the modded piston. So I am more interested in the Carburetor. Also I would like to see what they have done in the electrical end. The 18 pole dynamo is good. If they have improved it that would also be worth looking at.

Have used an Axle nut of kinetic Honda in the fork to provide pre loaded compression in the spring.

                      Pros:
1.Handling increases significantly, both on and Bad/off road.

                      Cons:
1.Life of Spring reduces, replacing interval decrease.

This is the cheapest remedy till now, so I might opt for it, will upload a pic of the nut for confirmation. But before that since the nut is just dropped inside before the spring, would there be any flexing under load, I mean while falling into a pit or while braking hard?

Spring life is something im least bothered about, so no worries on that.

                            Hi guys, need help.
                            a) Need the exact length (end to end) of the Shock Absorber of the below model (not the new Gas Dumped GSR Shocker).
                            b) Also pls provide the current Price - if you know.
                            c) Do ZMA & Xtreme share the same Shocker?

IIRC, no. The extreme ones are slightly longer. Please do confirm before changing one, not 100% sure.

whoa...just looking at the thread after a long time and I suddenly felt I'm looking at the drawing board of an Inventor. Good stuff. Now for my "aam aadmi" questions :P

I've read in this thread earlier that Shell AX7 was being used successfully in their ZMAs. I've done close to 34k and have never steered away from the stock oil. I want to change that now. I went to the Shell bunk on the way from office and he said it costs 390/- but would recommend Advance Ultra which costs around 809/- and would run for 8000km :O
8k sounded too good, but wanted to check with the experts here first. What would you recommend.
