Not necessarily, If brushes are damaged, sometimes it would , sometimes it doesn't.

Read lot of posts of crash guard installation in this thread and I concluded that Honda Stunner crash guard is direct fit, just have to remove side reflectors and cut U-clamp bolt to avoid front fender scrapping. Also If I am correct honda Dazzler crash guard may fit in ZMA?

Is there any other crash guard available which can be installed without removing reflectors?

Any Hero or Honda crash guard can be used. It has saved me a fortune, because even after all the torture I'm still running on stock fibers.

Installed Honda Shine leg guard. Its a direct fit, no cutting of reflectors, no scrapping of U-clamp with mud guard in pot holes, just have to pick longer engine mounting bolt. That s it.

Proud of you for making a mature decision.
Many still run with their belly cowl just because it looks cool, and sadly at the end of the day its personal preference.

The mount point arent present on the Stunner crash guard, the U clamp is drilled through it hence why it scraped with the front fender. But just to be on the safe side shorten the U clamp, cause when you put some considerable mileage on the bike, the front end lowers and there's a slight chance that it would scrape.

I bought this bike only for touring, I dont care for looks as there are more gud looking bikes than ZMA, even at the time of purchase I knew that new model ZMA and ZMR going to be launched but still I preferred old model,it has its own class and charm.

Safety is more important than looks for a hard core tourer. Fitting crash guard does not make me safest of all but it will certainly reduce the degree of fatal injury to legs during a fall. My legs were saved few times earlier with my Unicorn due to crash guard.

Regarding U clamp, you are right. It will kiss fender with course of time. I will cut it off.

Sir, It looks gud. I am looking for aux led setup. Can you suggest few. My objective is- headlight off, parking light on, 2 aux led on- one focus low and other one focus high.

Lot of setups are available online, I am confused.

Hi guys,

I was unable to source shell-ax7, and hence resorted to castrol magnatec (it came in 2 x 500 ml bottles)

is the oil fine for my ride ? or should i drain it and source for ax7 or switch to motul 300v ?? @ashwinprakas @acs1207 psr sir

Other members also please feel free to reply,

Use any oil as far as its within the recommended range. I've used 10W30, 10W40, 15W40, 20W40 and 20W50. The oils with lower winter grade helps the bike to accelerate faster where as the oils with higher operation grade helps keep the noise down on long and continuous rides.

And there are no best oils, their preference is subjective.

Havent seen any good led aux so far. The ones I have seen gives scattered light and can be used as low beam aux only. A projector would be nice for led to avoid glare to oncoming traffic. If you find something please update here so that others also can have a choice.

CREE LED setups. Request seahorses to post a pic of his bull. He has LED lamps on his bull on both crash guards IIRC.

I think the castrol magnatec is a car specific oil and usage of such oil in motorcycles is debated. If I were you, i wouldn't take that risk and instead use a bike specific engine oil from any of the popular brands. If not shell, pick up a motul 3100 , castrol activ, veedol etc.. 10w30 or 20w40 would be fine though.

Castrol Magnatec is meant for cars and not 2 wheelers...I do not have the MSDS of the oil so unable to confirm presence of Moly.....still you can try Shell Rimula R3X or R4, or Shell AX 5 .....10w40 or 20w40 or 15w40 will be suitable for ZMA...

Do i only need to drain out magnatec or do i need to perform some sort of flush out ? ( so far I've used it for some 100-200kms)

How is motul 300v.?

i'd be greatfull if anyone could help me source ax-7 in mumbai
