I owned a karizma not 5 years ago. And i recently took a test ride of the new zma. Honestly bro the tyres looked same to me. There was barely any difference in size. But I'll check again thanks

Re: Karizma/Karizma R
As far as I know, with the chain guard on, plonking a 120 section tyre into a zma has to be done with care. Because, even after careful adjustments with the wheel and chain tension adjusting nuts the clearence between the chain guard and the shoulder of a 120 section tyre will be very feww mm. Flip back few 100 pages, Sriram has done this with a 120 section michellin on his ZMA. Some had done a work which involved cutting a portion of the chain guard which scraps the tyre shoulder. Without a chain guard, its a plug and play as you say.Originally posted by shrikar reddy View PostBrother i was just checking through specs of new karizma R and find rear tyre size to be 120/80-18. Re: Karizma/Karizma R
The reason is you havent noticed properly and the 18" alloys make the tire look small. Notice in p150 latest and p180 ug3.. you will know what i am talking about. Though they use and used 100 section, the wider alloy made the tire look wide..Originally posted by Balgi View PostIts a fit. The tyres on the new zma have not been changed spec wise. Why don't you go in for a tubeless from Pirelli or Michelin. The mrf tyres are good but are hard compound type.

I got the following quote
L+R Fairing (Cowl) : 4300
Fender Front : 1100
Visor : 400
Front cowl : 400
No ready availability, you need to give an order at the Hero parts store, and it's a month's waiting period at least.

Re: Karizma/Karizma R
Thanks for the quick references by Ravi, Phanikar, Aamir and more unexpectedly from Above_All with precise part numbers for the shade via PM. You are precise on the color, yes, it is called Candy Blazing Red. Anybody who can try ordering the below parts would be of help. Also, I would need the gold plated heat shield. Sorry I don't have the part number.

Its not the wider alloy. Its because the smaller alloy that is 17" instead of 18" make it look wider. Example is P150 and extreme, both share 100/90 tyre. But P150 has smaller wheel which makes it look fatter. Moreover extreme is a lot bigger in size thanP150 which further makes the tyre look thinner. Usually Hero bikes are lot taller than competition so tyre looks thinner.
In layman terms consider two person of equal weight , ex- 70 kg. One is 5'6" while other is 5'11". Now tell me who will look fatter. Re: Karizma/Karizma R
I understand your explanation, but the alloy in Pulsars are wider.. which allows the tire walls to expand more as compared to the alloy wheels of Hero bikes which have a narrow alloy which doesn't allow the tire walls to expand further..Originally posted by sibun View PostIts not the wider alloy. another example is the R15 V1.. though it had a 100mm rear tire with 17" alloy, it looks very little..
hehehe.. the first guy will look like meOriginally posted by sibun View PostIn layman terms consider two person of equal weight , ex- 70 kg. One is 5'6" while other is 5'11". Now tell me who will look fatter. Same case here.
I don't look fat as compared to a guy who is taller than me weighing same and I am 71 kgs and 5'7"
I don't look like I weigh 71 kgs.. I look like I will weigh some mid 60s..
but yup, your reasoning is true in 90% of the cases..Splendor - 2k to 2006
