Re: Karizma/Karizma R
Hero does sell brushes. They retail for Rs. 240 each and come with the attaching bolt.Originally posted by s1d View Post
It's much cheaper to get a carbon plate assembly for the Karizma, it shouldn't cost more than 150-200 rupees. This is a kit that contains the entire plate, brushes and washers needed to do the job. If not available, better go and see a mechanic who will get the brushes fitted at an automotive shop that exclusively does this kind of work.Originally posted by shrikar reddy View Post

Will check battery. Though everything is working fine like self starter, dual horns etc.Originally posted by acs1207 View PostCheck battery.

Honestly speaking , I did not observed earlier. Yesteday night while my bike was in front of a wall with parking lights on, When I pulled brake lever, then on wall parking light intensity reduced little bit.
Then I started the engine and checked with increase in RPM, again same thing happened. Immediately I switched on HL and applied brake, HL intensity on wall also got weaker little bit.

Check relays and rectifier. The projector setup can take a toll on them as they drain massive amounts of power. Check fuses as well, though they are not blown their strength could be compromised resulting in average conduction and short life.

Re: Karizma/Karizma R
I don't think this is even an issue. Its just the load being shared and there will be some dim seen on lights. Unless there is some major like lights goes off completely.Originally posted by ankit.traveller View PostHi, my head light and parking light are dimming very very minutely though when applying brake or indicator, horn. Nothing Major, just very minute dimming of HL and PL while activating brake light. I am using bulb from Honda- Philips-HS1 35/35w @ 249/-. Though this one is lesser bright and small in size than stock Halonix. It was just an experiment.Originally posted by SriramEfunds View PostI don't think this is even an issue. If worried change pilot lamp bulbs to LEDs and tail light bulbs to 5/10w ( oe is 5/21w).Originally posted by ankit.traveller View PostEven I was thinking the same.

Yeah but I thought the karizma is a full dc setup. Full dc setup lights shouldn't dim at all.

Re: Karizma/Karizma R
If you have a Car I would request you to observe as follows, ....with headlights in on condition and Engine running, apply brake and see headlight brightness, and also see the Panel light brightness ...you will see both becoming less bright.....it is normal in any full DC Electricals .Originally posted by Balgi View PostYeah but I thought the karizma is a full dc setup. Re: Karizma/Karizma R
I have been using a non OE speedo worm gear for nearly 5k kms now. It had cost me 20 or 30 Rs. then. Not sure about compatibility with gear from other bikes.Originally posted by James View PostDoes anyone know which bikes speedo worm assembly will fit the zma? Re: Karizma/Karizma R
As ACS said, the worm alone costs about 20-30 bucks. Most cases changing only the worm will solve the problem. The assembly costs about 300-310 bucks. to the best of my knowledge, no other bikes worm assembly is a direct swap.Originally posted by James View PostDoes anyone know which bikes speedo worm assembly will fit the zma? In the meantime, this happened,

- and i do not know if other manufacturers supply oem carbon brushes. I only know hero and honda both dont seem to be selling just the brushes, they ask you to replace the entire motor unit.
