Thank you Sir. But when I honk the horn with the indicator switched on, the sound is in a sine wave and is feeble.Originally posted by psr View PostThe voltages indicated are normal for a ZMA. .~ long roads winding through dense forests are what I seek..Solitude ~

Re-Tune the horn since the contacts inside likely worn and tuning shifted....Originally posted by rav View PostThank you Sir. But when I honk the horn with the indicator switched on, the sound is in a sine wave and is feeble. When Was The Last Time,You Did Something For The First Time.

Are you ? If not are you using relay ? You can also change the indicator bulbs (oe=20w) to ones of 10 w each. But then you might have to change the flasher unit as well.Originally posted by psr View PostRe-Tune the horn since the contacts inside likely worn and tuning shifted....

Re: Karizma/Karizma R
not sure what oe horns are. OEM? I'm using the stock horn with the stock setup. I was about to purchase the LED indicator bulbs on ebay. I'll install them and check. But the worrying thing is, If everything I use is stock and this problem was not there earlier, why did it crop up nowOriginally posted by acs1207 View PostI guess psr sir is assuming you have the oe horns. Re: Karizma/Karizma R
Hi Guys, its been a long time since I logged in this thread.Hope u all are doing good.
Now my ZMA is 6 months and 6k old, had a long tour also. All is well except cold starting problem. Even left for only 1 hr after ride, I have to use choke again for starting and it takes few kms to warm up engine and to get idle speed every time. It feels that there is no petrol and bike jerks for few kms, after some time it normalize.
I checked this prob with SC but they say it is normal, though once they adjusted AFR setting in second service after reporting this problem but still it persists. What could be the reason?

I think its a air screw setting issue, ask them to set it to factory specs..Originally posted by ankit.traveller View PostHi Guys, its been a long time since I logged in this thread.Hope u all are doing good.

Re: Karizma/Karizma R
There is nothing other than AFR setting in your case. You cannot 100% trust them if problem persists. There is DYI threads; follow it and you should be good. It's real simple that with basic carb knowledge a novice can do.

If AFR is set to 3-3.5 turns, then get the following checked:Originally posted by ankit.traveller View PostHi Guys, its been a long time since I logged in this thread.Hope u all are doing good.

1. Air lock somewhere in the circuit,
2. Carb slide getting stuck,
3. Carb diaphragm damage.Got a $5 head? Get a $5 helmet.

Re: Karizma/Karizma R
As far as I know petrol engine's fuel systems are not prone to air lock issues except GDI technology. There is a possibility for vacuum created in our tank but when this happens total fuel supply is interrupted to carb even choke doesn't help in this situation.Originally posted by Divya Sharan View PostIf AFR is set to 3-3.5 turns, then get the following checked:

Regarding slide stuck up.. He is not having any issues during acceleration. Slide come in to action only when reved. Not when starting with choke or idle. Because carbs have discrete fuel circuit for starting and idling.
Regarding Diaphragm ; Again diaphragm monitors slide movement so this wouldn't be reason too.
Experts correct me if I am wrong.
Thanks.
