Re: Karizma/Karizma R
Ankush, I can understand your plight. At the moment we can only pin hope on the used parts. One xbhphian from Gurgoan is sending your requested parts, used though. Hope this would resolve the issue, expected to receive this week.Originally posted by Ankush Rx View PostRX100 1996 | Karizma 2004 | Karizma-R 2011 | RXZ 1999 | RX 135 1998 | RX 100 1993 | CBF150 2005 - 2011

Re: Karizma/Karizma R
Hey guys,
It has been almost a year since i bought the new Karizma R. The ride quality as expected is superb. However there are a few things bothering me,i hope you guys could help me out.
1. The mileage was around 23-25. The third service has just been done and they are saying now the mileage will hit 30-34. Should i expect such mileage or is it just something they said.
2. The visor vibrations between 4- 4.5k rpm are just ridiculous. There is negligible vibrations before 4k rpm and after 5k rpm. Is this normal for all the new owners?
3. My rear shock absorbers are making a pis-pis sound everytime. Should i expect this or is their a problem with my rear shock absorbers?
I'm adding a few pics of my beast along with this as well.
N.B the dual HID LEDS are custom.

Re: Karizma/Karizma R
Hello All,
I am very new to Xbhp but i always roam around XBhp threads to get more glimpase on ZMA and other bikes.
I will be posting soon my ownership experience of my stock ZMA - 2006 premium sports model (Pic uploaded in ZMA owners global pic forum).
I came across @psr Sir's,detailed post for NGK G power ignition plug and found to be interesting and very useful.
Can any body or @psr sir confirm if the model name is NGK G-power (DPR8EGP) ?
Is any body came across any other model than DPR8EGP and it's availability in Bangalore which really suits ZMA ? As i tried searching for NGK iridium ones in Bangalore RT Nagar area and could not found one.
Will there be any performance differences comparison with NGK G-power to Iridium ones ?
I am sorry in case i am flooding this thread in asking irrelevant questions as i am very new and also it would be really great if i could be redirected to the exact forum where the above asked details of mine were discussed for ZMA.
Your inputs will be really helpful

The mileage seems to be too bad! May be you need to ride a bit sane!Originally posted by DanMan View PostHey guys,

1. Not sure about the new zmar.. the old ones gave @ 30 to 40 kmpl and in some cases even higher.
2. Try double sided tape
3. I think it is ok.. ( if it is what I think it is ) 😊
NB .. are they HID or LED ?sigpic

Re: Karizma/Karizma R
Trust me. Until recently i have never gone over the 4k rpm zone. I am a new rider but to have such low mileage!! One friend of mine told he got 18 on his zmr hearing which i got a mini stroke. Lets see if after the latest servicing it gives more mileage or not.Originally posted by deemash View PostThe mileage seems to be too bad! May be you need to ride a bit sane!

I have a 2008 Karizma, yellow color, I think I can answer your questions.Originally posted by DanMan View PostHey guys,

Yes the vibration problem ( or the rattling problem as I call it) comes in as your plastic gets old, try to stuff the gap with the rubber pieces, that worked for me.
My bike gives me 29-32 in city if I drive like a normal person.[emoji48][emoji48]
Your rear shock are fine, it's how they work.. Trust me bro.
Your ride looks killer!

Apparently the fuel air mixture was way too rich. When i used choke in the morning i could literally smell the petrol xD.
I've told the service centre guys this. Lets hope they have fixed it.
And thanks for answering all the queries man. Really appreciate it alot !!!

Generally bike doesn't start in the morning.. Even I have to use choke with the self..[emoji24] on a completely different note watch out for the space between tank and seat, paint on the tank tends to scrape away. And the front number plate and mudguard, let's just say They do love to kiss each other when you apply disc with a pothole

Re: Karizma/Karizma R
Ah! But the new one's number plate is on the visor. So that problem i don't think will be there anymore. However the tail light and indicators are a big problem in all honesty. People as they generally are aloof just straight up walk into them since it's a bit away from the main body.Originally posted by drive_angry View PostNo problem dude!

It has happened to me 4 times and ultimately fevi kwik could not fix it anymore so i had to get the old type indicators which is more flexible. The stocks ones just are not!

Honestly I didn't like the tail of new gen ZMA/ZMR. If I had to buy new ZMA / ZMR then I would definitely look out for tail tidy kit.Originally posted by DanMan View PostAh! The NGK G Power plug number is DPR8EGP. Iridium is for longevity, and G Power is FE with slightly better performance.Originally posted by Chandan_ZMA View PostHello All,

Hero has really screwed up with the georgeous vintage look of old ZMA / ZMR
No offence to any one, few of my friends who are currently owning the new gen ZMA / ZMR are complaining regards to engine and body parts as well.
Still i am not pretty sure how far they are true as mine one is really going strong without any engine issues and body vibration issues.... so reliability wise ZMA / ZMR falls under zero exception !!

. The service center was able to source out all the parts damaged expect the above ones . I've come up here so that other members apart from chennai can help me out sourcing the above mentioned parts . I'm ok with used ones also .
