Anyhow the problem is like.. You will feel the bike is about to stall then it picks up again after few seconds it again misses then power then miss then power.. But if I keep it under 60kmpl there is no problem.. I took it with service centre guys.. Their answer is quite professional.. They said the bike is quite 'old' and keep it under 60kmpl. I use this baby for daily commuting.. To and fro From office which is 90kms (total)

The symptoms you have described is more or less the traditional Throttle slide stuck problem . due to dust and and lack of cleaning, the throttle slide gets stuck and engine on top gear will not rev beyond 4~5K RPM. Take it to a good mechanic, remove the carb from engine, open top of carbureter and take out the throttle slide...Clean the slide with Soap and water with mild Scotch Brite rub, dry it and re-assemble. If problem still persists check for tear in the slide rubber skirt and replace.

Hi guys, I am new to this forum.. But I have been going through most of the threads coming up in here.. My name is Lalkrishna.. I am from Kerala, now residing in Pune, Hinjewadi area... I am having a black beauty ZMA-R 2007 model with stock tyres, K&N filter which I put up 2-3 months back, no more alterations.. She has done near to 69k on the odo.. Bought in August 2014.. I am the third owner of this beauty..

Need a good mechanic near my area for my ride to help me sort out issues..

Been going to different local mechanics in case of urgency.. Done 2 servicing 1st one at 1000kms running and second after 3500kms running.. Not satisfied completely.. Please give a contact for a trusted mechanic near my area..

Writing this post asI am looking forward to change the stock tyres to new ones, as the stock one does not perform well, fishtailing issue, when the road is wet..

Especially when bike moving is straight.. Also, it has cracks on the sides of tyres as it had stayed idle for almost a year with the previous owner.. But had performed well while cornering (trust me I do a lot of cornering whenever I get a chance) and she has never slipped once.. I love to travel a lot and have done long rides with the tires.. Never had a puncture.. But tyres looks good as they haven't worn out much.. But nw, I think its time to change them.. Monsoon has hit Pune.. Please advise on better tyres for my ZMA suitable for monsoon, having cornering ability, good for touring as well..

Hello big brother,

Just to understand more what you have explained above.. There is a problem with the throttle slide (part of a carburettor) and I need to get it removed and get it cleaned?

But u remember during bike's last service I got it cleaned.. I think the service centre guy did it with petrol, not sure why[emoji53]

But I'll give it it a try on what you said, will keep you updated!

Thanks!

Okay, Time for some fiddling. A pal donated the Handlebar assembly of the P200 earlier today as he was upgrading to the Clip-ons. I am thinking of changing the handlebar to the P200 one from Stock. I'm 6'3" and the stock bars have a commuterish feel to it. Has anyone attempted such a swap before? If yes, did you do any mods to the swichgear/cables/brake hoses. I did a rough test fit today however the brake hose is a little bit pinched.

pointers will be helpful.

thank you

Pirelly Sport Demon comes in 110/90, 110/80 and 110/70 18" spec. But these are very difficult to find now. I have used PSDs for 50k kms and I can vouch about the cornering ability and wet grip. However these tyres are heavy and will impact your KMpL and power delivery to certain extent.

Other good options are Michelin Sirac Street, Ralco blaster pro, Michelin M45 .

Thanks man!!... Will look at the options... I still am figuring out my ride's mileage.. I think she gives me around 35-39kmpl on normal ride nd 30-33kmpl on city rides (including some revving in traffic at blindly crossing peds and cutting vehicles).. How much mileage do you think will be the margin I might get?

Guys,
Is there a need to change the spark plug cap when switching to NGK G Power or Iridium? I remember reading it somewhere on the thread but can't seem to find it now.
I have purchased both plugs. Planning to use g power for spiti ride starting next friday and changing to iridium after coming back.. psr sir?

If your plug cap is intact then change is not needed.

You can expect a -2 kmpl.

The price looks ok and this is a good tyre.

No, you don't have to. Why did you purchase both of the plugs?
You will not feel any change after using Iridium plug if you are expecting any. The life span is very good though.

Hi Team,

Finally I brought my bike to bangalore, replaced the front fork oils, changed the accelerator and clutch wires, charged the battery and the monster is ready to move. I feel like my bike is as new as it was before 3 years. Touched 25k on odo and the machine is smooth and responsive.

One thing I saw that my bike is not returning a good mileage. Though its on bumper to bumper traffic in bangalore, still I could expect 35Kmpl at least. For last 3 fills I got an average of 28kmpl (I am not a hard ripper, I prefer riding below 6K). my bike is totally a stock one. I didn't have any modifications on it. Checked the air filter as well. In moderate riding conditions in bhubaneswar, I was getting 40-42 kmpl. So do you guys have any suggestions to improve the mileage?

Also can anyone provide me the part number of NGK G-Power spark plug for ZMA?

Thanks in advance.
I really can't define myself without my bike
