it could be something as simple as a stone chip stuck in the tire treads or a chain adjustment that is required.
if the sound was after parking the bike, then it could be the tick tick from the exhaust which is perfectly normal.
so let us know from where you hear the sound (better if you can post a audio clip) only then can we try to find what is causing it.

Hey guys,

Has anyone here replaced the whole wiring harness in their Karizma?

My brother has bought a used 2008 ZMA and is planning to change the whole harness. I'm planning to buy it here in Hyderabad and send to him in Mangalore.

I am out of touch with my bikes for some months now.. distant posting means I am home only on sundays. So nothing worth posting going on with me. Even so I try to catch up on the thread.

Hi guys is there any way I could find a used Karizma engine (carb one) in delhi. Need to make it a 250 CC for offroading purpose.

Help needed fellow riders...
My 8yr old zma R is facing some problems in its carb. There is little misfire when i throttle it. The rpm doesn't stay idle, and comes down slow till idling.

I have recently changed the air filter, afr screw and spark plug. Is there anything in particular that i can look for in the carb or should i buy a new carb?

Your removing of air filter for better engine behavior suggests that you are running rich at present. Suggest you put back the Air Filter ,
and adjust AFR screw to Two and a half turn and see how engine behaves.

also one can put a smaller jet and achieve lean AFR.

is there water in your fuel tank? please get that checked as well.

No water checked...checked already. Also the mileage has dropped down to 30, previously she was returning around 40.

You have to try at the local 2 wheeler breakers yard..Making the Karizma 250cc will require Re-Sleeving and machining of crankcase both of which needs expertise .
There are no jets available to make the ZMA to run lean . ..the spare supply is such that even regular spares are to be ordered and has a long waiting period.

Misfire and Long interval for engine to come to idle RPM are indications of lean AFR...this can be caused by air leak...or malfunction of the Air Cut Valve.
Since your bike is 8 yrs old I suspect the Air cut valve..It is the valve that sits on the side of Carburetor on the Kicker side..If you open and find Petrol inside , it is a sign that the Rubber surround of valve had punctured....Replacement may cost 800/- ..

How do you connect an aux light ? Where do you bleed the electric connection from? How do you connect the switch so that it works only when the key is switched on ?

Hi PSR, Actually I don't want to go to Soti Ganj, Meerut to get it. Any scrap yards in delhi? Regarding boring and and jetting, I have all the required persons to source those also there are couple of shops in Karol bagh which provide jets ranging from 115 to 145.
