The much better Tide-Water made oil is now availble in kolkata , near Tipu sultan masjid(tollygunge phari) , just after you enter Prince Anwar Shah road and ride in for about 100 meters after the masjid, two small bike-parts shop on the right . The first one has it for 170 Rs per 900ml bottle . Try it .
yeah is definately worst, gear even get blocked not smooth as should be though I am aware of the shop there too will get it for my next change till winter is over than switch to motul or gulf.I and sunny both were confused about the oil as sunny was searching for tide water but he was not sure so end up buying the crap oil.
Do we need any change in wiring if changed to amaron 9ah its been 3 years with the oe battery amco i believe.
    Thanks for the info

When it comes to vehicles, the newer the parts... the more the resale value.
My friend from knpy sold his Uni for 55K a 2 year one, with nothing stock.. neither engine nor body.

          Hey skinny riders.
I get that sound all the time when I hard brake. Its cause due to the vacuum created by the sudden movement of the front shocks. And along with that if you hear a thud, then its the front fender hitting the Crash guard i.e if you have one...

my trusted mechanic told me to replace cone set but he said that HH uses same cone set for karizma which they use for light weight vehicles like splendor, passion.cd deluxe and even if i replace the come set that sound may come again after some time...so it is life long headache
sir why HH engineers have not thought about it??being a heavy vehicle they would have given bigger cone set like pulsar
They couldn't see me but All they could hear is rustling sound...Always Game!!!

have you ever noticed the front fork of karizma and 220 or fz? the front fork of karizma is thinner than both of these . If we do a wheelie and do a bad landing its sure to bend in karizma.

Shops in wellington area not stocking the tide-water made HH oil , I have checked all . At last my friend who's a an car oil distributor directed me to this P A Shah Road shop . He also gave me 3 bottles of the tide-water oil for 400 Rs total and so I came to fill 10w30 after a long while again beginning of this winter . It's working remarkably well for 1000+ kms now .
No , no changes in wiring needed for 9ah battery . You'd have to just fit it there somehow and modify the terminals a bit to fit .. baas . Ask Aneesh .
3 years is ok life for OE battery , you can prolong it's life now by first discharging it fully then charging it at high voltage(14.8v+) for 2 hours when it'll gas(electrolyte will bubble) . Then top up the cells with distilled water to max mark to equal level . Go to any big exide shop , they'll do it for a small fee .

I dunno if karizma uses the same cone set bearings as splendor . But if it does ... you can replace the sucky OE bearing-racer set with aftermarket SKF set , which is reportedly much stronger and long lasting . Source of this info is Sibun'jee , and I have confirmed it from mechanics here too . Two types of SKF ball-racer sets available in the market for HH bikes .
                      i) SKF ball racer set - same type as OE racer and last really long for about 30-40000 km ( for splendor ) . Rs.230
                      2. SKF ball racer set with cage- Same as previous model but the balls are mounted on cage and thus the handle becomes much free .Rs.320

Wish your ZMA a happy b'day...The FE you had indicated is high ..take care and ensure you are not running very lean.
Me never paid much attention to any sound, many owners feel irritated and get confused even when they hear tik-tak sound from exhaust after a ride.
Thank you for the wish Sir. I feel great to cover these 20k+ kms in 1 year, hoping many more to come
The FE of 42+ was after the oil change(HH to Motul 3000 4T plus), before it was around 35 with similar riding.

These are my specs when I was running on 4 turns AFR(i.e till a few days back).
Petrol costs at the time 71.XX my daily fund 100rs my total journey 40(40.3 to be accurate)x2=80Kms daily. So 100x5 Days a week is Rs500. Total Kms covered in a week is 400Kms.. and sir also do keep in mind, I choke my ride for about 5 mins daily.
I didn't get this. Your daily fund is Rs 100 only and you ride 80kms? Or, in a week, you get 400kms in just Rs500 of petrol...
