PSR Sir, I am using 300V 15W50 right now and I am using this oil for last 4k km. My odo reading is 9K. This is my 2nd 300V fill and the 1st one I have drained after 1.5k of usage.Originally posted by psr View PostHave you changed the engine oil to 15W50 ? have you monitored the bikes's response after 4 K RPM ?....I changed mine to 20W50 DTSi oil used in pulsar and Ninja 250...the bike had smooth engine and pulled with a lot of ease till 4 K RPM, but beyond it ,it was a dead duck.In 250 Kms the oil changed to dark color and I drained and filled the HONDA 20w40 oil made by Tide water oil co.The first 100 Kms behaved like any other 20w40,but now I find the engine revving better....
Gulf Pride 4T plus 20w40 by far is the best VFM and a good product..The Gulf Pride 4T plus Gold is Pinkish Red in color and equally good.
The main reason I am using this oil is that I prefer long distance travelling and in most of the time I do without any break. So, I have felt even after riding the bike at 100kmph for 600km, the oil is perfectly fine. I have done 30 km uphill climb after that.
I have found the power delivery is same like HH 10W30 in throughtout the RPM range, though a little bit sluggish at 1st gear. Few times I also have rode the bike in redline touching 130 kmph on the odo.
I only do one thing, before taking my bike out, I do a proper worm up for 4 to 5 mins, because I know its a thick oil and it takes time to flow throught the engine. The Motul says that this oil provides 5times stronger oil film than any petrolium oil and when burnt leavs no carbon deposits. The double ester sticks to the metal parts of the engine (unlike the POAs) leading to no cold start wear - so,complete peace of mind. But I am only sceptical about the grade - time'll tell if I am wrong or right.Last edited by on wheels; 10-26-2011, 11:42 PM.Move on.........

If you'r intending to get a full time day light running lamps, then they are you'r best option, though they cost 650/- they are surely worth every single penny.Originally posted by sunny_ View Post@ahwinprakas: would you mind telling anything about those SMD LED lamps? alongwith pics

They are of equal brightness comparing the low beam of my 55/60W OSRAM head lamp.
But if you'r not willing to shell out so much then you can also go for the non SMD versions, Im not aware of their costs but one of my friends are using it, even though they dont do much good as daylight running lights they sure are eye turners at night.
Will post pics later with his permission.Motorcycling Experience:

The pic shows that the lights are very nice. And you wrote "They are of equal brightness comparing the low beam of my 55/60W OSRAM head lamp." Only in brightness???Originally posted by ashwinprakas View PostIf you'r intending to get a full time day light running lamps, then they are you'r best option, though they cost 650/- they are surely worth every single penny.

And I trust you guys here so I can go for them even though they cost Rs. 650! Tell me the procedure to get them.
Also, if possible, do post the pics also which you're telling about so that it is easier for me to decide the best.
Well, I definitely want anything in LED that looks good(like the above one, with that brightness as an extra advantage), and I don't want the same typical look of those 5w bulbs!Originally posted by itssaurabh.negi View PostU can also try Normal LED lights if interested in Front parking light and Number Plate light (Will save atleast 7-8 Watts IMO)

@sunny_
We have already discussed LED pilot/headlights in detail. If you could just go back would find the details. Jist is that, too many unbranded products available right from what you could afford. Also reputed brands available at a premium price tag.RX100 1996 | Karizma 2004 | Karizma-R 2011 | RXZ 1999 | RX 135 1998 | RX 100 1993 | CBF150 2005 - 2011
2012 - Meghamalai | Kuttralam | 2011 Ooty | Munnar | 2010 Point Calimere | Horsley Hills | Yercaud

The price seems to be low..make sure the oil is not fake..The oil should be Golden yellow and clear..It is a good oil to use for 2,000 Kms.Originally posted by sunny_ View PostHi

Plug looks ok but the ground electrode shows that it is getting hot...you may be running lean AFR or most of the time above 4 k RPM.Your FE must be above average.(32 city at 60-70Kmph and 41 highways at 80 -100 Kmph).Originally posted by aarunn View PostYes.. Its G Power.... I think its more than one year old and clocked around 16k with it
Since you had completed 16 K Kms with it,time to change
