Update: Checked! It is Rs 450 / litre. Motul 15w50 SS oil. Next is that!
Bro check the internet regarding the GROUPs of engine oil is having. Motul 5100 - 15W50 sigle ester is a group V engine oil. The rating is, API SL and JASO MA certified oil. Though I was very much sceptical about the viscocity grade, but now I am a happyrider.

ONE UPDATE: I changed the Oil Motul 300V at the service centre by my mechanic last time and that because the service supervisor said "why you change the oil outside? bring it here, I would change it" - as he knows I often go for a long high speed run and the 10W30 would not survive in that condition.

I didnt felt any drop in performance. This tire is just 1KG more than the stock Zapper 100/90-18.

I found that Motul 3100 is almost half priced than 5100 and perform almost same? Is it true? If not, then I'm surely going for the 5100 Thanks bro.

Yeah, the weight is just a kg more, but due to the extra width and contact with the surface, I think, the rolling resistance would increase and hence performance + mileage will decrease....?

          • 15W50 will makes a small lag in acceleration,Its a Thick Oil!

If you are still worried of reducing Mileage & power due to weight,Then Control diet and reduce your weight by 1kg.

Just kidding,I didnt felt any except an increase in grip levels,I am getting 31 in city and 41 in highway with mixed riding conditions.

                Ah no way!
And my question was not related to the weight factor but to the rolling resistance.

                Alright.. thanks for the info.
i was overtaking a car from extreme left lane with some dust on the road, I dropped from 3rd to 2nd and pulled the throttle and OMG it was like a rolling burnout for few microsecs I was losing balance but got back on to the track somehow, since then worried about the rear tire.
Have you removed the chain cover to compensate with that extra width?

Dont know about these,I was getting 27~28km/l earlier before tire change, after swapping to M45,I was getting 30's.

Never overtake from left and never apply brake or rev harder when riding on sandy or dusty roads.

Yes, it will. But I am ready to compromise the accleration with the health and smoothness operation of the engine. Just my personal thought though.

This is strange maybe you've changed your riding style/petrol pump

Yeah bro,If you do long tours at high speed for long time, then 15W50 is the best option.

                            No
Its Kolkata dear friend, at some stretches of roads you have to take the leftmost lane due to reckless bus drivers trying to dodge cars/other buses in the rightmost lane.

Ha... ha...! Here in Kolkata it happens bro. If you don't overtake from left, you would not be able to reach your destination. Even I have seen the cars to overtake from left side. Visit Kolkata someday, and you can see!!!!

Even i had overtaked through left side, but felt it as very danger, because reckless car drivers may turn at any time without any signs.

                                Here is a pic:

                                M45 with chain guard.
