How much weight did you save by these two? Also dont you have starting problem w/o kick. I mean if the bike is not used for longer time would the self be able to start it. Have you upgraded your battery for this purpose?

No,Brake pedal and saree guard out of stock and they are not taking orders as they are changing spares to the new building.
Bro, I'd recommend you not buy the new saree guard and stick with you'r old one...
Cause even the silver ones used in pre 2011 ZMA-R's are'nt that good. The saree guards that came with the ZMA's before R are the best till now.

I'll see if any experienced mechanic is ready to clean the carb.

Anyways, I'm getting Gulf Pride 4T Plus 20w40 900ml bottle (Life 10000 kms written on the bottle) at Rs 220 at a shop in Jaipur where I'm these days; and Gulf Synth 10w30 at Rs 300. Which one should I buy?
Or should I go for Motul 5100 or anything else? Comment with costs and life of the oil.

Also, please those who have tried the HID setup please comment...
I'm going to the Bosch/Philips showrooms for one.
Do I have to buy a projector separately? How much will it cost in total?

            • ^^^ Guess XPolice beat us to it.

My friend has a ZMA(Pics comming tomorow.) the engines got the sewing machine noise(tappet setting wrong.) but the initials way better than mine, cause the bike jumps when we let go of the clutch. The AFR screw wont budge cause its stuck. The bike misses a few beats when riding on higher rpms there's also a strange sound when riding on 3rd gear, and no matter how hard we hold the clutch and shift, the gears still grind before getting into place the shifting's also hard.

So what are you'r ideas guys.

                    Use a bigger screw driver.

                    • Posting after a long time.

Bike's done 13500kms & need to change the spark plug. Got the NGK G power plug series DPR8EGP-9 costed Rs.130/-. Posting some pics of the old plug & the new one.

Looking at the old plug, I feel the bike's running rich. I get an FE of around 37-38kmpl in the city & highway riding. If I do pure highway rides at the speed of 80-90kmph I get a FE of 42kmpl.

Kindly post your suggestions on using the stock plug or G-power or Iridium.

                      Old plug

                      The new plug

Somebody here mentioned he had a burnt reflector because he was using a 55/60w Philips premium bulb. Here is a picture attached of my reflector. I am using a 55/60w Philips extreme vision & the reflector got burnt, but I am not changing it since it throws a good light. I might change the headlight once it goes out completely. Alternatively I use the aux lamps more than the headlight so the life of the reflector might go up.

                      Thanks in advance.

The FE you're getting is cool and same with me
and yes I've used the headlight (Philips Xtreme Vision 55/60 w) for many nights continuously for an hour or so thats why the reflector showing the sign of burning...so once the reflector is gone completely I think going for a projector setup would be more satisfying both in lights and life as well...I'm confused though about HIDs/projectors

Same pinch . Even I am on the same thoughts. But I wold not prefer an HID since it is not wise to flicker(pass switch) it like we do in the halogens, reason it takes some time for the HID bulb to glow to the full & flickering it will reduce its life. I am planning to stick to the halogens in the headlight & switch to HID's in the aux lamps.

Again same pinch regarding the flasher thought I think I'll have to say goodbye to the flasher once I switch to HID setup, but I guess it won't be any problem if we use flasher when the bulb is ON...?
Aux lamps? umm no I guess I'm not going for them as I can't afford right now!

                            • After a long time I am logged in.
Here is the pic of my burnt reflector. The bulb I am using is, Osram Nightbreaker 55/60.

Though, in highway run, I mostly depend on my aux lamps - both are 55/60.

                              Thats the set up.
The bike is looking dull because it is quoted with polish.
A small white padding you can find under the visor. Its because after fixing the CBZ Xtream's crash guard the visor was in direct contact with the crash guard and after that the visor was getting cracks all over it. I fixed all the cracks with Feviquick and ponked the padding. Its ok now.

                              Move on.........
