About the point it tending to be yellow actually the thing is in first couple of days after installing it & using i think it is white one next to the hid's but when i saw some cars having a pure white light ( not hid ) i got in mind that my bulb is yellowish white not a pure white
If it's 4000k it definitely will be slightly yellowish . White comes somewhere @ 4800k upwards . Since it is brighter than standard light your eyes took it as 'whiter' . Then when the 'more whiter' light came along your eyes told you 'no no no that thing is not white , it is yellow- this is real white' --

Don't you think Sir, that this filter is allowing impurities to the carb more than the stock filter?
There is no db killer in a normal exhaust - The whole unit does what needs to be done .

How so ? It's a filter meant for an MPFI car which has more than 4 times the engine volume . Do you think Suzuki will design something like that ?

I'd seen a guy fit a compressor like thingy(more like a fan like thingy) to the crankshaft of his RX and supply air from it . He claimed he got an increase in mileage - was in some auto mag maybe a decade or more back.

Inside box..note the clean inner against the dusty and dirty inlet to the right side...The Zen filter is doing an excellent job..Note also there is no blow back oil at the floor of the box...probably due to the 20W40 oil I use.
Looks Ok considering you ride in such a polluted area..Does the foam you used have as good a filtering ability as the filter ? If not won't particles get in through the foam ? Or have you covered the surface (at least on one side ) with hot glue ?

I think the sound must be from the air entering in - Calculate 223(engine cc) x 5000(rpm) . That much cc of air gets sucked in every minute .

What do I intend to do? Stuff ZMR drivetrain into an Ambition chassis and watch others run scared!

                  • Some prices are taken from internet and some are taken directly from bills. So i cannot claim that these prices are 100% accurate. Hope you all are enjoying it.

Psr'jee , fine application of the zen filter . I am worried about that piece of foam too . Foam by itself isn't that good an air-filter unless oiled . Better seal that gap with a suitable piece of plastic or thin metal with hot glue .
I have another confusion about the AFR screw direction . The AFR screw on the ZMA controls what , fuel or air ? In most of the other carbs I have seen including the keihin PB18 I cleaned , it controls air ( I think ) . So screwing it in ( clockwise ) makes the mix richer (less air) . Or am I confused again ? Please help .

You'll get gulf/motul 1lit bottle for 200-210 Rs if you bargain a bit at ESS-Enterprise in Jadavpur ( beside KPC hospital ) . He is a genuine dealer for many oil brands in south Calcutta, I have confirmed from motul area sales manager . He stocks valvoline elf shell veedol castrol HP etc & greases & gear-oils etc too . Good guy .
If you use the 10w30 HH 4T oil , there are two small parts shops on Anwar Shah Road . From Tollygunge Phari take a left turn at the Tipu-Sultan-Masjid to enter Prince-Anwar-Shah-road . Keep looking to your right for about a 100 meters after you pass the masjid . The first shop is stocking the Tide-Water(veedol) made 10w30 HH 4T oil for 175 Rs a bottle . Tide water makes this oil in collaboration with Nippon-oil (Japan) .This is mucho better oil than the bpcl made oil commonly available at HH service @200 Rs . The second/other shop is charging 180-200 Rs for same oil or bpcl , avoid it .
will check some shop in central area and find out the rates too.

But then the stock battery should be changed to a 9ah one for optimum results . And any additional electrical load should be accompanied by a relay , be it light or horn .
HID lights are very bright , but costly as well .

Original ones shouldnt change color .

                            Try Osram Nightbreakers - 60/55W . (it's costly)

+1 . Even with burnt reflector , it gives a beautiful spread and point . It can be a life saver .
thanks a lot for the info i am gathering all relevant info from the whole thread and will screw my service guy and check every aspect this time, though i am happy with my bike still i believe there is a lot of juice still so need to get the best of service

In ZMA the AFR screw controls the fuel. So turn clockwise means lean and vice versa.... I've heard that 2T bikes have an AFR screw that controls the air.
