Please check for any air leaks or blockage of jets due to debris in petrol...check also for proper TPS working ...the TPS connector has 3 wires. Measure the center wire voltage with a Digital multimeter. With the ignition switched turned on, at minimum throttle it should read 0.5 volts, and as you twist the throttle should increase linearly to 4.5 volts at WOT.
Spot on sir, I seriously doubt the TPS malfunctioning, cause there's no rocket feel after 5k like before, the bike just keeps on gradually climbing.

Should we unplug the TPS wires from the top of the carb and check or should be do it while its in contact with the carb. And my digital multimeter has 2 wires, the red and the black, which wires should be connected to the center wire??? And where should the remaining one's be connected to???

He may have postponed it to next day in which you were not in the beach. And you have deliberately omitted the other events I have mentioned.

      • With regard to oil.

Did an oil change today, after riding just 330Kms with the Golden HH 10W30 oil, switched to Yamalube 20W40, technically I have'nt since the bike's still being drained, but will post the ride report shortly i.e maybe tonight itself. Was actually in search of Motul 3000, but due to scarcity had to settle with Yamalube in vain.

The Golden 10W30 surprisingly upon draining was Red in colour, guess, thats cause the oil I used before it was Gulf Pride 4T Plus.

Yeah and almost forgot the price was a whooping 270Rs.

The TPS should stay connected to the wire loom to get the readings....connect the black wire to earth/body of bike..connect the red wire to the center wire of connector..Even if you connect other way around, the DMM will show -ve voltage instead of +ve volts..and no harm will be done.
In my bike I get the growling and rush of acceleration after 4K RPM onwards

Tilt the bike towards the gear shifter side to drain out the old oil fully, otherwise the residue of old oil will still remain inside.

Did'nt know that was recommended, anyways will do it. And Sir, have a query, I've seen an Xbhpian drain his FZ and the procedure he used to completely get rid of the old oil was by removing the spark plug and cranking the self starter. Is this in any way recomended??? And wont it cause the engine to partially seize or anything???

removing the plug will enable the engine to turn without strain and starter will consume less current ..but you need the engine to be at rest for all the oil to flow down and drain as moving the engine internal parts will lead to engine oil circulation, plus chance of seizure is present.

Sir, followed your method and drained completely by tilting the bike, and refilled with 1L and ran the bike for 2KM's and checked the oil mark and it was at the Maximum mark. Guess a job well done.

                    Initial review.

Even though the box says its 20W40, the acceleration is peppy, just like using the regular 10W30 HH oil. Guess that's due to it being MA spec. Anyways, by next week will post a complete review after going for long run's at higher speed's. Today the best I was able to achieve with 1/4th throttle was 90Kmph.

Another query sir, are the TPS wires accessible from the handlebar, or is it only possible via the carb side, cause today tried to measure @ carb side, but was'nt able to do it due to it being inaccessible.

actually, is it 900ml or 1L or 1.2L oil change for the zma ???
just asking coz i'm getting mixed opinions...
& the last time i filled 1L, oil was above dipstick max & i broke a few seals too...
It does feel great to have a tank of petrol between your legs & explosions just under it.

                        1.2L if crank case opened.
1L if drained by tilting the bike.
900ML if drained normally as per instruction manual.

No worries if you fill excess oil, cause if by chance you do so then the oil will be blown out through the crank case breather tube into the air filter box. And as in your case will be passed out through the duckbill breather tube.

Oil level check should be done on main stand ,after 10 minutes of switching off engine.
The TPS wire connector will be visible under the tank, after removing the kicker side ,fiber/plastic side panel..and looking under the tank and slightly pulling on the TPS wire bunch.

The excess oil will also flow into the Rotor/Generator side ,since it is part of the crankcase....which is why with excess filling of oil , it will leak through the crank case center screw on the gear shifter side.To check remove the center screw and start the engine...you will get oil spray, and air pumping through the screw opening.

Yes,M45 is a direct fit, there will be 2-3mm gap between the tire and the chain case.

Me too welded and bended the Linkage Rod and put some spacers to avoid rubbing.

But many new ZMA owners had done it without any mods.
