    Now no trrr.

I'd been running on 3 turns on AFR screw . I asked him to up it to 3.5 . He said that's not the correct way and proceeded to tune it his normal way . After about 5 minutes , he told me that the air filter might need replacement . I told him it's a modded one from Zen mpfi and at first he couldn't digest it ( he's company trained in many earlier bikes - lol ) . Finally he adjusted it to 3.25 and I said I'll check it and change if required . It was on the return trip from there that I touched 118 - 119 on the speedo. I hadn't checked my top speed before that - mainly because my rides didn't require me going on the NH . Now I have a bench mark .
The ride was an important one . I'd gone to that mech to ask about the possibility of plonking in a P220 piston in my ZMA R . The project is on but I'm not sure how long it'll take since there are so many variables on his side .
I'll keep you guys updated .

what has to be done when the tire rubs against the chain cover ...? I pull it back out and after some kms it starts rubbing again . I'm using Dunlop Monster rear tire .
Good to see your post after a long time...the front brake pads still have life in it...my pads are like yours without problem..I feel the brake pistons, and caliper needed lube and had been done now...I had touched 120 and still had felt relaxed, and i am on 3.5 turns AFR with Zen MPFi filter, NGK G power plug and rest all stock....of course my emulsion tube is drilled and so I now get 38 to 40 Kms FE in city, regularly.
The tire rubbing against the chain guard could be due to the wheel fixed slightly side ways and not straight...check the left and right graduation ,used to check chain tightening alignment.
Going for 235cc with P220 piston is a good idea, provided the mechanic knows what he is doing...remember to change both the top and bottom gaskets of the cylinder head....also check for cam, rocker ,timing chain, chain tensioner, and chain guide wear.

I guess Vineeth still had juice left in his steed , but since his speedo wasn't working (suspected broken speedo gear) it didn't make sense for him to push it further .

I also had the same issue of tyre rubbing on chain cover when i upgraded my tyres to M45 at rear. I had to remove my chain cover and is open for now. My friend Aneesh (Xbhp member)had cut small slit in the chain cover and its pics are in the early pages of this post.

Mr.Sriram Xbhp member from Chennai has the M 45 4.00 18 at the rear ,and there are no issues with fixing.I think the wheel is not centered properly in most of the cases and so the problem of tire rubbing the chain guard or brake stay.

I have the same tyre and I hadn't have to do any modifications to put it on.

When I got a new chain sprocket set, the tyre used to foul with the plastic bit at front which stops mud being sprayed onto the swingarm. All I did to fix it is to tie it so that it does not touch the tyre.

BTW, Got EBC HH Brake pads for the ZMA along with couple of other things. The Nissin brake pads on my bike still have some life, so it will be some time before i can plonk this on. Will get a new rotor when swapping the pads anyway.

See the larger hole drilled ?.....it is 0.6 in size...Planning to reduce size and see the difference...the other holes are OE,and 0.3...

What is the pros and cons of drilling the emulsion tube ?
Can you explain role of size of the holes ?

                        Pros:
                        1. There is better atomization of fuel
                        2. Hence better AF misting and less of droplets size
                        3. Hence better FE

                        Cons:
                        1. The acceleration at the point of drill corresponding to a particular RPM band will become marginally less.

Read the entire contents of the page in the link...it is a good write up and discussion which will make you understand how fuel metering is and can be controlled in a carburetor.

                        and also
On elevation and drilling out emulsion tube holes.

                          • Where(online preferred) and for what price can I buy LED H4 headlamps?
Another alternative is a 60/55 osram blue light bulb. Im not into touring, so I donot ride ZMA for long time period.
Do I need to install a relay alongwith the osram one?
