just like in SUV's ... cruise control ... set the speed and you just have to put ur leg on brake pad ...

is it possible that , we can put a needle across the handle to set the position of throttle !!! so that the speed can be maintained ... ????
Tweak the slow speed nut. I believe at stock it'll go upto 3k. If you'r willing to take the effort then mod it to go till 5k and then you'll be cruising at 80kmph.

But there'll be initial probs so heres my assumed walkthrough.

    1. Bikes fitted with the modded slow speed nut and the idle rpm's 1.25k @ cold.

    2. You ride the bike till you'r in final gear as usual.

    3. Slowly tweak the nut while you release the throttle, till you reach you'r sweet spot.

    4. You'r all set now. To slow down apply the brakes without clutch, and for sudden braking, just yank the choke and brake as usual.

But the problem in all the above, is that our brains are'nt good at making all the necessary calculations under such state of affairs, so Bon Voyage on the idea.

Sorry sir, the idea just got me amused.

BTW, I had a friend with a Nova, after a spill the throttle wont recoil, it'll remain static, everything went well untill he had another spill, in the middle of a field. The most messiest incident of his life, with the wheel spinning even after he'd been thrown of and the bike doing donuts in the mud spilling it all over him .

Lol Sir, I've seen that . And it surely makes me wonder,

What might've happened to the original designer of the throttle.

When you are taking delivery look for MRF front and rear tire wobble. Some badly fitted/ OE manufacturing problem in the MRF tires was seen in the past....

                          • Had a new m45 2.75-18 in the the zma front.

This was 6-7k kms before , Also did a leh trip with it.
On the trip , i could feel wobble at speeds above 70.
Replaced with a Michelin sirac street 2.75-18.

                            And Observations

The Sirac street is way better in the front , Very Easy to corner and manouver
                            Unlike the M45 front.

                            • @Santoosh: So Sirac/F and M45/R is the best combo then ? I hope these are straight fits without any rim change.

                              • Had gone on a trip to Nashik & covered approx 720kms on the odo. The roads were a bliss & I was doing 80-90kmph without any issues & any stress on the engine.

My observations :Its a good touring machine.

                                Got an FE of 42-43kmpl.
