No need to worry bro... Will tell you the causes later, infact you dont even need to take the bike to SVC. But before that... Lemme stop laughing...

Make sure the bikes extremely hot(enough to give out the noise.).

Now adjust the cam tensioner. Till the sounds inaudible.

        DONE.

it's time for my oil change - have run 10920 km so far . And I was thinking about the Boric Acid treatment .Definitely want to do it . But should I do it when I fill in the oil or should I fill the oil , run for a couple of hundred kms and then add the mixture . In the 1st way the engine will be smoother anyway and there will be no change that can be attributed to the B acid . The change will be there but it could be attributed to the new oil . In the 2nd way , the 1st change will be when I change the oil and the 2nd one when I add b acid .
You have to cover atleast 12000kms to do the Boric Treatment.

Another thing - my routine rides are all small ones . Work and back is 4 x 4 kms . In the evenings a total of 10 kms in city . Am planning for a 100 km x 2 ( 2 days) trip in the next few weeks . In this scenario , which oil suits me better ? 30w50 or 20w40 ?
30W50 is not available AFAIK.Get 20W40,I had used it in my bike mostly riding in city,So problems faced till now.

              • hello xbhpians ... i have a query ...

is it possible to maintain speed of 60 - 70 kmph ... on karizma r with No hands ... ???
just like in SUV's ... cruise control ... set the speed and you just have to put ur leg on brake pad ...

is it possible that , we can put a needle across the handle to set the position of throttle !!! so that the speed can be maintained ... ????

Why you want to do that risk? Are you going to play Video Game while riding?? Just drop that idea bro.

You might have better luck posting in the stunter section of xBhp. Some of these thoughts are a bit radical for us lot who are used to using their hands for riding.

                              • Well nothing, so far, can provide an alternate to hands when riding a motorcycle. If maintaining a steady speed without having to keep the throttle twisted is what you want you can try mccruise or crampbuster. The former is a true cruise control available for super bikes and is very costly. The later is a contraption that allows you to use you palm to twist the throttle and is very cheap. That said i am yet to find a highway in India where i can maintain a steady speed for more than 10mins.
