I ordered the same from amazon and I am supposed to receive it on Monday.
Could you please advise on this bulb, should I cancel this one and go for the cityvision? I need a bulb with with good visibility in rain and fog. I know white light is not for rain and fog, bt in the reviews it was mentioned like it is a white with yellowish tint to it and not exactly white light. As I was not able to find any other bulb for my ZMA R, I purchased this.To belong nowhere is a blessing and a curse, like any kind of freedom.

Since I'm not being clairvoyant, could not foresee someone ordering Philips bulbs for their beloved Karizma.Originally posted by L.K. Please read my post again, have shared my experience with Philips X-tremeVision and Osram NightBreaker Unlimited. If you have ordered White Vision headlight, please use the bulbs and post reviews. I won't be able to comment on the bulb without using it. So please excuse me.I ordered the same from amazon and I am supposed to receive it on Monday.

Sir, I was just saying that according to me this was a post that has come late. Wasn't saying that you could have said earlier.. Sorry if you felt other way..

Sure , will definitely share the review once I receive the order and use it. I was asking for advise, as in the link you have provided, it has mentioned that bulbs with lower color temperature will have better visibility in rain and fog. As this is a 4100K, just wanted to know if this will also give the better visibility..
But I will also share my experience with the same.
Happy riding 😊Last edited by L.K.; 08-01-2015, 12:43 PM.To belong nowhere is a blessing and a curse, like any kind of freedom.

Re: Karizma/Karizma R
If you can cancel the order, do so and get the Xtreme Vision or the City Vision. The City vision bulb has a lower color temperature and hence better visibility in rain etc. The downside is slightly lower brightness (+40 as it says) compared to +130 of the Xtreme vision. Either should be better than a bulb that does not allow visibility. White Vision - 4100K only has a blue filter to give that added whiteness, and doesn't add anything to riding effectiveness (it says +40 on the packaging).Originally posted by L.K. AK3D, thanks for the suggestion.. I have ordered the Philips H1 12258 X-treme Vision Headlight Bulb (12V, 55W) and has cancelled the previous order for the Whitevision.. As per the technical details this one is a 3300K bulb. I will receive the same on Tuesday. Will share the experience once I get to use it.. Thank you for your advise..Originally posted by AK3D View PostIf you can cancel the order, do so and get the Xtreme Vision or the City Vision. I thought you were asking for Karizma which uses H4 and bulb holder type P43t. For which bike you ordering H1 bulbs?Originally posted by L.K. One other point you should note here that Philips has yellow tinge on their high beam with a reason to support hazy condition while their low leans more towards whitish. Having said that, Philips still at par while choosing a good pair of vision of the vehicle.Originally posted by curve_king View PostThank you very much sir for the thorough comparison. Re: Karizma/Karizma R
Actually the Philips gives a great high beam too, once you adjust the headlight throw. I found this to be applicable to both the ZMA and the CBR.Originally posted by curve_king View PostThank you very much sir for the thorough comparison. Very useful info, this.

You need an H4 for the ZMA, not H1 - different sockets. The 3300K would be the older bulb.Originally posted by L.K. View Post@AK3D, thanks for the suggestion.. Yes, I noticed that too Sri, the low beam is more white while the high beam has more of a 'normal' tinge to it.Originally posted by SriramEfunds View PostI thought you were asking for Karizma which uses H4 and bulb holder type P43t. For which bike you ordering H1 bulbs?

Re: Karizma/Karizma R
Did a Chennai-Madurai-Chennai trip last week. Current status, odo reads over 15k as of now. Oil used was Caltex 20W40. Had changed brake pads which made ton of a difference. I went for the original ones since I keep hearing the Apache ones plough through the disc surface. Also have switched to G Power. Engine feels smoother now and cold starts have improved. The bike is running on 132.5 jet. Yeah I know it is an overkill. Will revert back to stock soon. This size causes excess fuel to burn off at the exhaust as PSR sir had rightly mentioned to me. No wonder I smelt fumes sometimes. Was doing 90-95 kmph mostly on the way to Madurai. I got an FE of 32.xx kmpl. While on the way back I was doing 100+kmph mostly. Got only 29kmpl. However for the first time ever I held full throttle on several stretches on the way back and boy oh boy the bike was relaxed even at 8k rpm. Was doing 115-120 kmph on many stretches (newly laid roads + weekday traffic + good weather). Overtook so many indicas, innovas, swifts and even some polos. I am now positive that zma can hold onto 8k rpm all day long.Tour De Thekkady

Re: Karizma/Karizma R
Zma can hold on. IIRC some auto mag had used the facilities of arai and had run it (and m800 I think) nonstop for 24 hours with just pitstops in between and they averaged nearly 100 kmph. It was some years back.Originally posted by harishkumarko View PostDid a Chennai-Madurai-Chennai trip last week. ......

Re: Karizma/Karizma R
The said 24 hours test was done by Overdrive magazine on ARAI test track in pune. Ah! those were the days when i liked overdrive. There were persons like Adil, bertand D'souza, Sirish chandran, Vijayendra vikram, Vikrant singh.
The tests were quite interesting and felt exciting and knowledgeable to read. In the same issue an Alto 800 was run 24 hours on the same ARAI track.
Karizma did 2525 kms in 24 hours.
In december 2007 the same 24 ours test was done on CBZ extreme but this time on road rather than ARAI test track. The road was on mumbai pune via the katraj tunnel.
I have uploaded the CBZ extreme test run, and i have the Karizma test run magazine with me. If you all want i can upload the scanned copy.
At that time i was a huge fan of overdrive. Now i haven't seen an issue for six months because that style of writing, information is not available. Now a days the test feels like advertorial.Photo of my joy- http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/854067-post963.html-3.88 lac km cont....Ownership review of my joy- http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/832255-post608.html- slowly updating as and when getting time. I believe D'Souza and Sirish are still there. But yeah these days it is blatant sometimes that they are biased when they test certain brands like KTM or Bajaj. Any ways, could you please post a scan copy of the zma test run?Originally posted by sibun View PostThe said 24 hours test was done by Overdrive magazine on ARAI test track in pune.
