Ride
Ohh one thing i missed in my last post... took my bike for a 200 odd kms ride yesterday... though the engine is yet to open up but still its smooth, super smooth.
Love the way it responded(didnt take my bike over 3500 rpm)
Also got my hands into my friends electra (diffuser911's) for 20 odd Kms
. Awesome King like feeling

We commented only the looks part. If you are happy with the power output now, just forget about the looks and enjoy the extra surge in power.Originally posted by harish_zma View Postok guys, even i didnt like the look. im goin to put all the clothes on her back.

ZMA indicator problem..
Hey all,
Just got my zma back from the regular servicing. One problem i noticed is, when i flick the indicator both sides, the front two remain stuck whereas the rear ones dont flash at all!!
Any guesses to what could be the problem?? Rest electricals are working alright.
1 more suggestion required..I wish to fit in an upper chain cover like the ones in the FZ, R15 n Fazer. Which one shall fit in?? I dont want to purchase any after market ones, want a good branded one. Kindly suggest me the same too.
Solutions awaited..
thanks!Last edited by myg124; 12-01-2009, 03:59 PM."Never recreate from your memory, always imagine new places"

I assume that the rear indicators dont flash and the front lights dont blink. they just go on...Originally posted by myg124 View PostHey all,

Well I had the same problem with my ZMa last week. Bulbs were gone because of rain water collection inside the indicator housing. This could be a reason. Get it checked.
Query 2: I would suggest you not to go in for a Naked chain because the chain will have to be lubricated regularly. Ur chain's life will decrease by ~50%. Sprockets will wear out very very fast and IMHO these spares also cost a Bomb. A chain sprocket kit would definitely cost around 1800 bucks I assume. Not worth it man..Never Argue with an Idiot !!!

Coplay: Thanks for the reply mate. Just checked now, the right indicators have started working ie both front and rear but the left side front remains stuck whereas the rear doesnt flash.Originally posted by Coplay@180 View PostI assume that the rear indicators dont flash and the front lights dont blink. they just go on...

I have put the new chain set a couple of months ago and hardly take it out in the rains. I dont have to worry about it as i service it regularly, ie arnd 2 months. But the simple naked look isnt going well. Thats why want to fit a upper chain case. I got the stock one as well, but dont want to go back to it. Thats why asked up here."Never recreate from your memory, always imagine new places"

Possible reasons:Originally posted by myg124 View PostHey all,

* Rear bulbs fused?
* Rear flashers not grounded or wiring improper
* This is unlikely, but the flasher unit may be faulty. More likely if you don't hear the regular clicking from it.
To 'service' the flasher unit:
Remove the air filter side of the fairing to easily reach the flasher unit. Disconnect the wires and remove the unit which is suspended by a rubber washer.
The unit is enclosed in a black plastic cover which can be pried open - extract the unit from its cover. What you will see is a coil operated switch mechanism. Locate the contact 'switch' point at one end and clean them gently - fine sandpaper or a thin metal blade will do nicely. Take care not to damage the fine wires that emanate from the coil.
A quick burst of WD-40 aimed at the switch alone and a gentle wipe clean, then put it all back together.
I was forced to perform this 'service' when the flasher went kaput and the local HH stores had no stock.
