    Kirna, there will not be very much difference, but bike revs faster than normal. You can give a try.

      one of ma uncle who owns a spare parts shop qouted me Rs 1100 for the pair..wer outside a single bulb costs 800Rs in kerala..

        wheel change for zma

        Hi ,
        I want to know can I replace plusar 200/220 mag wheels to my zma, is there any drop in performance or mileage, cos I love mag wheels of plusar 200/220, please anyone suggest, thank you.

          @zmaprad: First of all, the rim sizes of the karizma and the pulsars are different. Then you'll have to do extensive modifications to the rims(or the hubs) to fit it onto the karizma. The moolah you'll spend IMO is not worth it.
          What do I intend to do? Stuff ZMR drivetrain into an Ambition chassis and watch others run scared!

            help me out!

            I have a zma-r (2008), odo (19000) have serviced her regulary from HH ppl, though i have been facing these continuous problems,
            firstly, whnevr i start her in morning it starts with a hollow sound (chug chug), and there is this huge white smoke coming out of her exhaust pipe , though it reduces after some time.
            secondly, it shuts down as soon as on idle.
            thirdly, she has lost all her pickup and speed that she used to deliver.
            and fourthly, i love her very much so i really want to know what exactly is the problem.

            hoping for some answers guys....

                  Get your clutch plate and block piston checked if you feel there`s loss of power and also get the carberator cleaned.

                    Anti theft system

                    Hey Guyz,
                    This could be a repeat query / could not serch it on the blog anywhere.

                    Does anybody know what effect an anti theft system have on my ZMA's warranty?

                    Do Hero honda offer any which is approved by them?
                    Is the insatallation tedious? i mean if its not i can remove it every time i give it for servicing.

                    how much this system cost/ which one is better?

                      One of my friend told be that i should not use self starter in morning as it will reduce its life......IS IT REALLY SO???..

                      when i asked the svc he told me that there is no issues as zma self starter is of advacned type(he explained that its motor is imported from japan only-MITSUBA)

                      ok i can use the kick but wat the zmr owner will do????

                      is it really essential to do so...i mean many bikes doenst have kicks???

                          it doesnt matter as such.......but if company has provided u the kick....use it atleast when bike is not run for 5-7 days...it will prevent excessive battery drainage. make some use of the kick.

                          the starter only damages when u press the starter button while engine is running or when u keep starter button pressed for long say 15 sec....and of repeated use.

                          in zmr it is 6ah battrey...and no kick....but mind it has FI...so there would be less cold start issues...thus putting low load on motor.
                          though the motor is same as in zma-r.

                          but yes my friends has 220//which do not have kick has replaced 2 batteries in 3 years......

                          so i think having a kick is an advantage....so i suggest u to use self daily ...as there is no problem in doing so....but yes use kick if bike left unused for 5-7days.

                            Going by the logic that using the starter for cold starts; could we then say that we should kick/push-start our cars and other vehicles as well to prolong the life of their starter motors?

                            Like any other starter motor, a Karizma's starter will eventually wear out, but that will likely occur many years down the line when you no longer own the bike. Start your ZMA or any other bike so equipped with no qualms. (may not apply to RE motorcycles ).

                            A starter motor can typically turn the engine over more efficiently that a kick-start can.

                              its not a tedious process..the price comes about 1400-1600 Rs..i heard AUTOCOP is good..but sum people's car got robbed even with security sytem..guess the robber is advanced than the security systems...dont know about warranty thing..But my friend who installed anti theft system in his pulsar removed it after a week..its because any of ur friends who come to know about the system simply hit on the bike and there it starts screaming...this is what happened with my friend in colege and he had to get out of the class all the time to come to the parking lot or minimum range of it to off its alarm..he got fed up...

                              its just my personal view....

                                hi guys.my Zma is 8 months old.the front alloy got a small dent after riding it offroad so my query is that is the alloy covered under warranty? Will i get a replacement from HH for a small dent.Handling is effected while cornering.Will be going to the ASC to find out on wednesday.
                                I bought the Ninja 250R !!.....And then i woke up :(
