  • I did find the shifts to be a bit hard when compared to my 20,000km old Uni
Getting the clutch freeplay adjusted and also the shifter linkages oiled, solved it completely.

Will try "While downshifting the gears, use throttle blipping. Give a bit of throttle before downshifting. It would work wonders "

My dealer says will get my number in next week

i know there would be a huge fine if i get caught.

        • I got timing chain tensioner for my Zma today
it came in Honda packing(made in Japan)(earlier all parts even if made in japan used to come in HH packing).
has any one else noticed it for any other parts?

              • Can a ZMA be rebored? I mean, does the bore allow for it and does HH sell oversize pistons? Brings up some questions:

                1. The average life of the standard bore would be?
                2. When is it recommended that piston rings be changed?
                3. What is the price of a new bore kit?

I really have no idea - hence the questions. My bike has only done some 13k km, so I'm asking these questions mainly out of idle curiosity.

My Bike has done 60 K kms and it still going strong and it has always been ripped hard on highways ever since it completed running in at 2.5K kms***touchwood***

Rings should be changed,in case they wear out,or if you have to open the cylinder block for some other repairs, like gearbox etc.

AFAIK there are no oversize pistons from HH

Cylinder kit used to cost around 2-2.5K when i enquired about it last.

yo Mak..best service center would be the one in Mahim...next to Bristol Bakery.

I have heard from many Zma owners in my area that Mahim service center is not so good
Many have suggested me to go to Mulund

From where do you get your Zma serviced

thank you very much for your reply....my bike was old model CBZ with self start.i bought it from the dealer on 2003 march.i didnot have that much idea..they sold a bike to me from their stock which is actually manufacterd on 2002.....but when i come to abroad, one time i use that at my vacation then i feel i will sell and whenever i will have vacation..go through rental...at 2007 i sold my bike for 28k ...till now i am not at all satisfied with rental service..becos i dont get the expected model and also mostly with complaints...

2 month ago i was at vacation..i did not get the bike from my area what i want to take on rent....got p150...it has front fork problem, handle is bend..etc.....not at all enjoyed riding..

now i will go for vacation after 9 or 10 months..i would like to buy one to rid whenever i have vacation and when i will come back i will keep it at home.

please suggest me also.... is there any big problem for the bike if i dont use for couple of months?

i was thinking to buy r15 ....but read the reviews... pillion seat is not comfortable and head light power is not good( mostly i drive on highways)....some time i want to take my wife also with me and now a baby also..

i am new to xbhp...this site is very good and has lot of information but it will take long long time to read all the posts..
