  • Osram Nightbreakers work like a charm in the Zma. With the stock battery itself.

    Go for it.

        • Urgent help needed

          1) Can I have confirmation that the amaron 9 AH batt will fit inside the battery cage? A dealer I went to did not have the 9 AH battery, but absolutely insisted that it would not fit.
          2) Where is the darn battery available in Hyd - my amco battery is totally dead, it needs to be replaced ASAP.

          Thanks a lot in advance!

            • @V_310: No idea about Amron. I have an Exide 9AH in my bike and it required some real force to get in there.

@Steve: I didn't have any problem with the stock bulb until three full years after which I jumped to a 60/55. However, the stock bulb is still alive in my spares box.

Not sure how helpful it would be but I have some numbers. An Osram SilverStar 55/60W bulb has a rated life of 150 hours and it has half as life as a regular halogen bulb.

Also, halogen bulbs don't give way so easily. What you need to be worried about is the vibrations from the fairing can reduce the bulb life - when the bulb is hot and when there are a lot of vibrations the filament gives way. I have even seen some accident vehicles where the headlight assembly is unscratched but the bulb is kaput - filament is displaced.

The dealer is right. 9 amp battery will not fit into karizma's 7-amp battery cage. But, you can do some minor modificaitions and fit it.

Your stock plug is DPR8EA-9. The 9 at the end indicates 0.9mm gap.

Thanks for confirmation. I guess Navas tightened the spark plug too much. Tomorrow I will see if I can adjust it. I am not feeling as good as with the original spark plug with the current one.

                          • I recently replaced my stock bulb to Halonix 55/60w
my friend gave the bulb to me from his Aveo as he was not using it

This bulb also works pretty good compared to the stock bulb

dreamz_mak how's halonix 55/60W compared to the stock? Does it throw the same yellowish light only?
Is there a marked difference in how the bike lights up the road ahead now?
