Please post a pic of the part so we can be of help..I haven't seen any spring in the FRONT brake pad..If you are referring to the ones inside the caliper then it can be broken only if it is severely tampered with.

    Hmmm. ...57x58.7 ! That's news to me !!
BTW my ZMAR might go shortstroke (oversquare) in a couple of weeks.
Has anyone noticed that the thread has more irrelevant posts now and there is no content worth mentioning ! hope members will try not to spam this thread..
ACS are you going to change the ZMA crank to make it short stroke ?..or you meant to overbore the cylinder !

The brake is good and slowly getting used to the timings. Also, think once it bedded properly might be more effective. I'm leaving for 1.5k kms ride this week. Will give feedback on the brakes once I'm back.

VeryHiphop:- Thanks for the information. I don't think what brake pads were used on his bike. I reserve my comments. As far as I know, the pads that come along with Ninja is excellent quality because I've experienced on a long ride.

first one were the stock brake pads then again changed from SVC (kirti Nagar...delhi)...both were original and even there are no issue with brake/disc alignment ...

This is surprising, since the Ninja OE pads use sintered metal, which does not wear that fast..may be the gentleman had a habit of having a finger slightly pressing on the lever which might lead to the accelerated wear. How is the Disc ? is it scored and what is the wear pattern now ?

            • Hi PSR,

Hope you are doing good. As per our discussion yesterday, today morning I have adjusted the AFR to 3 full turns & adjusted the idle to 1300.
Did not feel much difference in the ride on my way to the office (25kms). The hiccups as mentioned is still there. Dunno what to . Another thing I noticed, if at the traffic signal & want to start moving, give throttle the bike stalls.

I am herewith attaching the pics of the plug before I tuned the carb to 3 turns.

Will post pictures of the plug after the new setting in the evening once I reach home.

              Thanks for the help.

The plug indicates lean running...If you have stumble at 3 turns then do try 1/2 turn ANTICLOCKWISE to make the AFR slightly rich.

                  Roger that sir.

@All : My M45 4.00 x 18 has done 20k and on the verge of dying. It has already started to show signs of dying by fishtailing & I can see cuts & bruises on it. As you are all aware the M45 is no more available I dont know which tyre I should go for. My 1st priority is good road grip even in wet conditions.

                  Please suggest some tyre options.

                  Thanks

Sirac Street is claimed to be good by end users, and the pattern looks good for wet grip.

Yes it can ,....if the tires are used with proper tire pressure, and had not been subjected to rough use of quick acceleration and hard braking .

My dad's GS150R is running on this tyre & I have ridden the bike, somehow I did not get that confidence because of the slim profile & I dont know how it will look & perform on the ZMA.

On a side note, last evening I tuned the carb to 3.25 turns & no more hiccups or glitches, running smooth as silk. I am tempted to tune it to 3.5 turns, but feel its running good why mess it.

Thank you very much for all the help.

I have the Sirac 120/80/18 in my mind, but it will be too wide & its quite heavy so will effect the ride. I found Pirelli Scorpio 90 AT on the net in 110/80/18 size which has thread pattern like the M45, but need to check with the dealer here in Mumbai. Are you running with the Sirac 120, please post a pic & please let me know if the tyre is touching the chain cover, because I dont want to remove the cover, but if required I will remove it. I have also found Pirelli Scorpion 90 A/T in 110/80/18 profile on the site, will check with the dealer.

Pirelli are hard to find in mumbai due to the check out at metro tires at bombay central or at sign tires sion or at discount tires jogeshwari they might have those.and ya a 120 section will change the ratios for the bike are also it will a bit heavier side and u can expect a drop in mileage by 2-5kms.one of our fellow members here had put the tire u may use the search option to find it out.
