    Guys,

One of my friend's ZMA seems to have problem!
He says, the rear tire wobbles when braking even at say 30-40 on turns, and around 70+ on straights.

When with a pillion I did a 120+ without any prob, also he did 110 with me on board.

The prob is only when he's riding single. May be because of his weight 65 only..

I doubted the bearing, but not much of a problem, as there's not much of play when rotating the tire while on main stand.

    The ASC says cone set.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks!
Money can get a 1942 BSA these days, but even Warren Buffet's whole Bank account can't get us our leg back!

Thank you very much for all the help.
If 3.25 works then try 3.5...you will love the bike's response and will not get back to 3.25....

Thanks PSR. The tire pressure is fine, also the tire wear pattern. Its only 4500 kms.

Will give the bike for cone set replacement. Any idea, what damages the cone set? Also how much would it cost for replacement?

          Thanks!

If it is within warranty then no charges, otherwise will be around 300/- + labor.
Also ask the SVC to grease the Swing arm pivots/bushes, both left and right, and get it done in your presence.

May be stupid, but just to settle my curiosity ask him whether he feels the vibes more while holding in the clutch and letting the bike roll on???

Its been close to 1K since I've lubed my chain, and you can imagine the state of it, since I only use TVS Chain Spray. Now the issue is that cause the chain running dry, when I ride with pillion and all its ok< but when I ride single I face the same issues as the one's you've mentioned above, the wobbles becomes more noticeable while shifting.

Cool. Well get it checked. Also, the handlebar is bent, how much would a new cost?

Didnt get enough time to clean and lube, due to hectic schedule. Most probably will do it this sunday, if the circumstances allow. And I expect the chain set to last atleast 15~20K's.

ACS are you going to change the ZMA crank to make it short stroke ?..or you meant to overbore the cylinder !
                          Well psr sir , I guess there's a lean phase for every good goings . . .!

I mean I'm going to overbore the cylinder . . . and have to do a few more things to which I'm not privy to even now . I won't keep you all in the dark , will share everything once it's done . I'm trusting my mech to the nth degree since I'm not sure what the heck I'm doing . The things he said made sense , so I'm going with it ! Wish me luck !!

I knew you would say this. Still have some questions before going for 3.5 turns. I will get a good response, but won't the FE drop. Currently I get around 40kmpl which is a combine riding of highways & city. Once in a blue moon I rip else I upshift at 3500-4000rpm.

Hey buddy, got a quote of Rs.3500/- for Pirelli SD from official dealer in Lower Parel & Rs.3000/- for Sirac 120/80/18 from official Michellin dealer. The Pirelli dealer does not have a Scorpion, so now planning to check with Metro tyres for Duro or IRC.
