Anmol is correct ..Bro... as if the sound continous after some running and it increases later on then definately Tappets setting needs to b adjusted,Good Luck

checked out..there isnt any problem with the tensioner...

tappet settings readjusted..now gotta see how it works..

could it be the timing chain?

Bro the timing chain will sound like chuck chuck just like some basic designer metal chain if u hit it on any peice of metal and best way to know if the timing chain is at fault or not is to tilt ur bike either left or rite while engine is running on neutral as it will inscrease the sound if the chain is loosen a bit however it can be tighten and if can't it needs to be replaced asap as it will eat up the engine from inside... however there a possiblity the running engine on lower RPM for first few Km's will automatically solve the problem only if it aint comin from tappet...keep posting the update..tc

          • Regarding buying a new Karizma R

            Hi Friends,

I am planning to buy a Karizma R.
I have some questions regarding it and would be very grateful if you could help me out by answering these questions:-

            1. When I asked HH showroom in Bangalore about the mileage they told it will be only around 25 kmpl in city .On checking this thread i did find a lot of people having much better mileage than that.So i would like to know how much fuel mileage on an average can I expect in city from Karizma R?Also does the fuel efficiency decreases after some time of usage? I would love to take it if it gives 30+ in city.

2.Around how much is difference in mileage of R and ZMR ? Don't want to spend 20k extra on ZMR unless it has hugh differences in terms of performance.

3.I have heard that Honda is planning to launch bikes in this segment at around December this year,is that true?

            Thanks

1 for a city like banglore where there`s bumper to bumper traffic u`ll get 30 + for sure,i`m from pune and i get around 32-35 mileage and on highways 40 to 43...

2 zma-r and zmr outright performance there`s hardly any noticeable difference,in zmr u`ll get better looks and better mileage cause of fuel injection but then ur paying extra money also.Spare parts availability of zmr is a big issue,zma-r not so big an issue

3 its honda who`ll be launching a new bike this diwali in the 250cc category and not hero honda, but then the price of the new bike is estimated to be around 1.5 lakhs
settle for the zma-r,,i`m happy with my bike, its been almost 3 yrs

                          • Bingo..!! I visited this thread now to post a query on mileage, and there is already a post on the same in the same page. My question is the very same, very boring one. Anyway, my riding pattern is totally different. I m more of a high way cruiser. Cruising around 70-80, shifting mostly around 5k, rarely upto 6-7k. And very little city riding. Very sane inside city. Now please tell me what I will be getting..

anywhere b/w 38-42 with sedate riding. FYI, zma does 80@5K, and is very-2 comfortable riding at those speeds on the highways.
