Oil does not have anything to do with tuning. I personally have tried quiet a few oils ranging from mineral, semi-synthetic and fully synthetic from HH, Castrol and Motul. Currently I am using Petronas Sprinta 5000 4T Fully Synthetic. It is still too early to comment on it as I have not even clocked 100kms on it yet. Though Initial impression is good. If its good, then I will be sticking to it, as they come at half the price of other Synthetic oils

Regarding oil , i don't think Petronas will be available here even Castrol Racing is not available here ,but dealer is telling me to provide so i am thinking of getting Castrol Racing .will it be a good change?? and what about Veedol synthetic oil ??

hi riders.. i own a karizma-r since last 8 months.. in my recent ride i observed something strange.. my bike touched 140 kmph for the first time.. wow could not believe.. til then it was never able to cross 145kmph mark but don't know how it touched 140 this time.. then few times it the speedo got stuck at 135 kmph.. then sometimes the speedo got stuck at 130.. what should be the problem?
means getting variable speeds whenever i try to pull the bike every time..??

you should go for filter change now and stick to HH oil, its cheap and its the best.

I have heard that Petronas is a Great Blend...but i hasnt used it ...as its not available in my place

I m using VALVOLINE 4T fully synthetic (RS 300 only :O)

and im pretty happy with the results... smoother Gear shifts and smoother engine... my mechanic Claims that it has got Great Thermal stability....

there is no problem..since ur bike is consistently doing good.. the only thing that might be varying is the conditions like roads , wind factor and so on.... also how well u have ridden the all the gears may also vary and hence variation..

from what you have written in the above post it seems that the spiral spring of the meter has got tangled and hence the pointer is getting stuck you can claim warranty for your meter if it is in the warranty period.

It is approx. 240/- IIRC. And this price is say 10 days old.

Guys,
I have noticed one thing recently.
After service (oil change), engine oil oozes out of engine head.
I think it happens only after oil change & does not happen all the time as engine oil level remains at max level.
Anybody faced such an issue?

Also,
Just finished Mumbai-Pune-Bengaluru ride yesterday.
Since then bike has become a lot of jerky & engine shuts off if I don't race a little.

Any idea?

guys i am planning to get a pre-owned karizma-r as my second bike. i already own apache rtr 160 with which i am fine with. the only prob i get is that my spine starts aching during the long rides.
so as many suggested, i am thinking of karizma-r. my height is exactly 164cms. not a well built body. i feel i should ask the option from the owners. also what would be the money i could give for a 15-20k run bike?

Rode to Mahabaleshwar this Sunday, on our way back, the other riders's ZMA got speedo malfunctioned....

Now is the time to get shocked....

The drive sensor under the fairing which weighs 29 grams in total,has gone kaput and it costs...Rs 2900

The speedo is broke so is the rider with that pricing

Hi all !! this my first post.
I own 1 month old zma done 900kms , from last two days i am hearing strange noise from engine (left side) its like chain running on sprocket type, getting it continously. i took my bike to svc as expected they said everything is fine, after an argument they changed the cam chain tensioner but the sound is still there,i mentioned check tappet settings but looking at thier faces i kept quiet they may do worse than good.I am new to this place leave mechanics i know very few people here and being rural area only one hh showroom so i dont blame hh guys much coz there are very few zma's here. I have read all posts here but still not able figure out the sound.i am not facing any performance issues.
Other than cam tensioner what other issues are there with timing chain?
Please help me!!
