Hi Guys,

I am having some issues with my bike. The problem is when the bike is cold, there is some chak-chak noise from the engine (probably from the piston). But after the bike heats up the noise goes.

The issue is the remains atleast for 5-6 mins of initial driving and that too after around a couple of minutes of idling in the morning. One of the reasons that has come my way is that Oil Pump of Karizma goes week after a certain point of time and hence it is not able to circulate oil properly when the bike starts in the morning.

Has somebody faced similar issues?
Does anybody know how much the Oil Pump for Karizma costs.

My bike has done around 30K Kms and it is around 4.5 years old.

Change your Timing chain tensioner !! Costs about INR 2300.

i had similar issue with my zma r, your cam tensioner might have gone captu, replace it and check your cam chain too, i highly recommend you to do it asap coz the more you use in this condition, the more damage it can cause, and in the worst case you may end up in changing the cam shaft, cam chain etc

got a new used karizma guys

guys i joined the zma-r club today by buying a used zma-r [blue color].. at first i did not even heard of blue zma-r, whee i saw it really looked good especially in daylight. its 31K old boy 2007 dec make. got it for 48K INR.

it got NGK iridium sparks, very much new clutch plates,new disk plates, but its battery is weak think it will get good once i recharge it in battery shop. tyres look good, no loose plastics, no scratches , need to check its performance and mileage. managed only till 80 in city , will try reaching 100+ shortly .

i feel its front fork is slightly pulling me to right .. need to check it with mech.

any other suggestions and recommendations are welcome

Congrats bro, i too got the same deal. Mine is feb 07 model. Had done 31k kms on the odo when i picked it up for the same price! And i to have the very same fork issue....nice coincidence

, did u sorted out that issue. i cant understand on thing most of the bikes pull only to right if they have fork prob. any secret

irritating sound from engine head

guys facing some issue with timing chain i believe...need urgent attention form u guys...
my brother rode my ZMA for 2.5k and total clocking is 25.5k now it he didnt even bothered to look that the engine oil was minimizing after 2k of riding as he rip the bike hard it seems and later he felt there is some problem as its getting very hard to change gears(Jerk) now i have changed the oil but the problem is now there is some took-took(irritating) sound that comes from engine head and it goes away after riding on high RPM for few miles and it seems gears are getting smooth ride after ride but not as what it was...please advice what needs to be done...

i just dont want anything silly happen to my bike...

after my purchase of zma-r[used] yesterday today on way to office managed to tik 100 on it, man how easily this machine goes to 100+ with good stability. It was like WOW for me who comes from 150cc background

even i managed 100 on p150 but not with ease and good stability. Even handling of this machine is far better than p150 ug3. One question guys how can i check the engine oil level on this machine it doesn't have glass window of pulsars

. Only thing bothering me is slight pull towards right when riding this machine

The cap comes with a level measuring scale. Check the manual. You can understand the co-ordination b/w optimum marking on the scale and the engine oil level.

Pull to the right may be associated with anything. Check the steering cones set adjustment initially. Put the bike on centre stand and check the play of the handle bar. There should be uniform play to both sides.

Extreme reasons maybe bend in fork, or chassis, which I guess wont be the case. Hope this helps!

I am having morning start issues. Is there any way that i can start the bike (i use kick when starting the bike for the first time) in 1 kick without using the choke or any other thing???? i miss the 1 press start on my Honda Shine

thanks for that , i need to get the manual from previous owner . i checked the play of steering on center stand it is a bit stiff on both corners think steering angle range as 180 degree then between 0-10 and 170-180 i can feel the stiffness. what do you say need to adjust and see?

bro congrats for ur purchase...try installing Osram Night Breaker bulb for ur bike...its amazing....well the cost is a bomb for bulb...but sure it is very much versatile if u ride in the nites....

buddy plz let me know where have u bought the iridium plug, and wats the price??!!

2000rs price hike plus 480rs of Helmet included [compulsory]

Its stunning bike I can say. Very powerful. I had Splendour and just came to Karizma. You just dont know when you come to 40km 60km but splendour always struggling in 60Kmph!!

Overall experience is great so far. I will receive complete kit tomorrow. Its really bad that they dont allow me to RTO stuff outside [my brother is RTO agent] damn!

Can you guys suggest me beginner stuff for this bike?

Like

[1] Whats run-in period [will get manual tomorrow]
[2] What speed I should keep while run-in period and further? and when I can throttle it fully!
[3] Which petrol I should use. For now I used Shell normal petrol [heard its good]
[4] When I should change oil first time!
[5] Service timings idea?

Edit: what accessories you recommend? A side bag and a hook is compulsory for me as day to day need to carry bags etc.. and small items
