vajra: go ahead and buy zmr. you may want to refer to two different zmr threads here on xbhp for all your queries. zma will give you mileage in range of 31 32. ZMR is much better in mileage.

i suggest you ZMA-R, its complete value for money. ZMR would be expensive to maintain and also its plastic parts will burn a hole in ur pocket.

go for zma-r and save 21 k for future fuel. zma-r is able to give mileages 40+. normal riding will easily give you 35-40

if it has to be value for money then it is zma-r.

maintenance cost is less in zma-r when compared zmr.

what mantainence cost you facing with your zmr? can you please elloborate and chalk out a comparison of costs across. this will make him understand better and would enlighten all of us.

I think iam giving too much attention. Suhasn do you get burning smell from engine after those harsh rides.

Yes it does happen sometimes as I mentioned earlier. Does your service centre or your mechanic recognize this as a problem?

I think you need to ride another zma in the same conditions and compare!

By maintenance cost i referred to the cost which may incurred on fiber parts.

PS- i sold my zmr just yesterday.

Guys, recently i m facing problem with my zma r. Its engine is over heating too much. Even after i told svc fellows about it, they said ''its normal to feel heat of engine on your legs in winter season & its only head of the engine that is heating, not whole engine''.

Recently i had changed - clutch plates & its assembly, air filter & spark plug. But the problem remains the same.

Can anyone explain me in detail what svc fellows has said. or the reason why engine of zma r may overheat.

Even I am facing similar problem like tushar.Went for ride to igatpuri yesterday and was doing 100-110 for long stretches.Whenever we stopped was small breaks,smoke was coming from engine but it did not gave any trouble at all.

Also got mileage of 40.3 during the run

Its been almost a month it is happening with my bike, so far no problem. But, dont want to get stuck in middle of the road on any rides.

well i have zma-r currently......i would have sold that also but it is in 3 year loan. i am in financial problem[which will end soon] that's why i sold it.

even i complained of a smell sometimes back........and the svc ppl told me its common when u ride after long gap or in rainy/cold weather.

No dude, i ride everyday & everyday since 1 month im facing this problem

Iam Also facing this problem and the cylinder head is overheating the svc guy told it was normal but they are confused with the burning smell they didn't find a reason for it.But there is no problem with performance and FE
