yes you should go for decarbon.

you should also clean sprockets and chain using diesel. just open front sprocket cover to see the filth.

hope u have changed the airfilter at every 10k kms and spark plug too.

    • Just got the tyre changed to M45 on the rear and Sirac Street on the front.
I want to confirm if 4.00-18 is equivalent to 110-80/18 or 120-80/18.

Also the guy told me that the michelin prices are going to go up by 8% from Jan, so anyone waiting to change tires please go in for them immediately...

                engine flushing is not DIY.

for chain clean diesel is used.

                  ok
but what actually is engine flushing and how is it done?
does it require opening up of the engine and will the HH guys understand "engine flushing" or there is a layman term for it

i heard that since kerosene and diesel are heavy fuels they do not evaporate and tend to stick to the chain

DIY? Much DYI depends on how much you know. For you, maybe not . Engine flush is basically the process of flushing the engine with a special liquid to clean the internals of the engine. Normally not recommended unless there is some serious reason. The process is as simple as pouring the liquid through the same hole you pour engine oil, run the engine at idle for some time, and flush them out. A more thorough explanation of the entire process, are easily available on the internet.

Kerosene/Diesel are good for cleaning only. Not for lubing. For that, some prefer grease. I prefer gear oil.

so it is ok even to use kerosene for cleaning??

                          • Hey guys, I own the very first edition of Karizma and have had it for over 6yrs now. Everything is working fine, but I have issues with the high-beam light.
I had gone for a 350km ride, to and fro, half of it was in the night. I had no issues with the bike in any aspect, except for the fact that its high-beam is just useless. When I tried using it on the pitch black highway, with no oncoming traffic, it just would help. It was like shooting a beam of light straight to infinity.
What do you guys suggest I do? I am aware that it has a screw for the headlight adjustment, but will this also effect the low-beam?

Yes, the screw will move the entire reflector. The bulb is fixed on the reflector so the angle between the hi-lo beam will remain constant. You cannot adjust them separately. Though you can adjust the hi-beam at an angle that does not compromise too much on the lo-beam.

With the same screw? Also, what the right way to get the proper setting?
