Use brake oil, Acetone or 2T ...engine oil will not work..You need light oil that will penetrate, and loosen up the Aluminum oxide which binds to the screw..

Almost went through the same situation... getting my bike (white) on Friday with registration (hopefully)!

I was offered earlier to settle for black/gray color instead which I refused.

Is it 4 full turns for all ZMAs?

How about finishing the first 1k in koli hills ride
You won't have to ride it below 3.5rpm for a month

This is just an off the block setting to keep you going..You must monitor the color of the plug to get the correct AFR mix, for your bike....light tan gives better mileage(32 city-42 Highway) and average pickup...dark tan ( chocolate color) gives lesser mileage(26-35) but better pickup, and sooty black gives poor FE but good pickup, but bike will flutter at top end.

Yeah..but the oil change for engine's health at 250 Kms need to be done first..before he can do a long run,....even then below 4 K rpm=60 Kmph for the next 1 K Kms.

When you drain float bowl petrol ensure the plastic drain pipe is in place and engine is cold...other wise the petrol may drain on to the hot engine, which is not safe...

Thanks for the info.. I ll stick to my current tuning for now and use this when required. Currently Im getting around 42 on the highway and 30-35 in the city.

                          • Then I have decided not to give my bike for service hereafter and do everything myself. I successfully did an engine oil change last weekend. Yay!! Then I oil all the visible moving parts like the clutch joint, brake levers and the rear brake every weekend after the wash. What else should be done on a regular basis?

One thing which I read was to lubricate the chain. I haven't done it before. So any guide on doing it? And how to remove the chain cover on the ZMA to access the chain?

That is the correct mileage for a ZMA...check your plug, it will be light tan..No need to adjust anything except idling ,which you can set at 1200 RPM when engine is hot.(recommended 1400.but wastes fuel at signal)

Yipee you are on the right track...learn and do things, it gives satisfaction in knowing it is done correctly and you know your bike more thoroughly now.Did you put the Oil filter, washer, spring in the correct order ?

You don't have to remove chain cover for chain Lube... at the bottom half of lower chain guard ,at the center, you will see the rubber inspection cap..remove it and you can see the chain.Keep the bike on main stand and while rotating the back wheel slowly apply grease to the inner surface of chain...excess will not harm but less will definitely.
Lubricating the chain with oil leads to noise and chain becomes dry soon...I had lubed the chain with Castrol Bearing grease and chain noise had subsided.Had done about 800 Kms since and is due for lube now.

                              • Opened Engine today, clicked Some Pics. There was only 4 rings in the piston , Actually karizma's piston contains 5 rings.Replaced it with new set of piston rings.
