And ..it doesn't feel heavy now
Wow.. Happy to hear this,Guess you got why i recommend m45 to fellow riders.

    Dude..regarding the engine oil, go for Motul 5100 15w15(Rs. 450) or 300V 15w50(Rs. 850).
    I bet you wont regret!!!
15W15? You mean 15W50 in karizma?

    @ harishsangwan

    Did you changed your airfilter?

            A couple of queries here.
            1. Karizma manual mentions SAE 20E40 oil so 15W50 or 15W15 wont be a problem?
            2. The manual also talks about using SF/SJ grade oil, whereas Motul 300V is SG grade.

Excuse me if I sound noob with these questions, but then I am. Not very sure about what the different grades indicate so the curiosity.

Please refer to this for knowing better on engine oil ratings.I don't know which grade 300V belongs to.

Let me clarify, a SS or FS oil gives better engine smoothness than mineral oil.In case of 15W50 oils you will feel the smoothness in high speeds or in long trips, I mean especially when the engine is fully hot. You can use 300V 10W40 if you are a sane rider and you are not into tourning, that suits for stock bike very well. I was using that before I got my K&N installed. But the 15W50 lasts longer than the 10W40.
Its recommended that you can go for SS or FS oil after running for 4-5k kms and not in a brand new stock bike. I don't know the -ve's tho.

I am not a guy who is into technicals of bike machinaries, so you may choose not to trust my word. This is all out of my 35k kms experience and going through this forum

After things were fixed I got to ride the bike hard and fast and was almost impossible to push it beyond 100kmph That too with less than half fuel tank. Any idea as to what else could be wrong with it?
Your earlier setup with a clogged air filter had been to lean the mix to compensate for the air filter....with a new air filter which can breathe more air, you are now running lean...
The stock setting of AFR screw in ZMA is 4 full turns anti clockwise after GENTLY turning it full clockwise till it stops.
If your AFR screw is stuck DON NOT FORCE IT.Apply brake oil ,or Acetone, or 2T oil and leave it overnight before trying again.
On the other hand if you are having engine sputtering you are running rich....
Best to take out the spark plug and read it's color to know the AFR.

All electronic gadgets and meters in bikes are only to help and are not absolute in accuracy.
Your petrol tap when in main position will clearly tell you when you reach reserve petrol level....go by it and not the gauge. In ZMA stock setting and sane riding reserve will give you approximately 50 to 60 Kms.

                          Thanks for the info dude.

I aint no sane rider so I guess 15W50 would make more sense.

By AFR screw do u mean the spring loaded screw thats used to set the idle setting?
One more thing that I forgot to mention. The bike kinda goes below the idle RPM and sometimes quits at signals or when the throttle movement is not stead off stand still state. I guess this is indicates lean mixture. Is it?

I guess NO, it doesn't indicate a lean mixture.A lean mixture will give you uneven throttle response and will make your sparkplug white.
The spring loaded screw is the RPM idle screw, adjust it to get your RPM right(arnd 1200).

The pic clearly shows the idle and AFR adj screws.....
part marked "5" is AFR and marked " 6 " is Idle set screw..
