Couple of changes are in pipeline for my new bike:

    1. Change the stock headlamp to better lighting - Philips (not sure which one)
Philips 50/60 is good ..the connector base is HS1 type...must try at G P road
    2. Replace engine scoop with crash guard - CBZ Xtreme
HH spares may have it...will inquire to-morrow and tell you
    3. Battery - Amaron 9 ah.
    Available with 24+24 months Guarantee/warranty..
    4. Better horn to reduce brake-and-go ride. (Need inputs)
you can try adding another horn of higher frequency to the existing one of 2 Amps power..available..(Pulsar high tone)
    5. Better tyres - Michelin's....I can help if you choose any from the Ceat make...

Since there is a good chance of southwest monsoon casting shadow rain in Chennai, desperately looking for bike cover to protect.
I think they are again available at Rs.400/- at GP road..or try E-Bay

You can get philips 55/60 wt bulb in Hardeep Motor in GP road(9884325948/65151805).But believe me you wont be satishfied. If you have decided to go for higher wt, why not xenon lamps
          2. Replace engine scoop with crash guard - CBZ Xtreme
          3. Battery - Amaron 9 ah.
          4. Better horn to reduce brake-and-go ride. (Need inputs)
You can try Roots vibro series, available in the same shop.I am using dual vibromini in my cd100 dlx from last 10years
          5. Better tyres - Michelin's
Have a look @ PSD and if it is Mich, M45 provides good grip

          • Fog lamp mount?

@PSR: What can be the best fog lamp mounting position for 2011 Karizma r?
I have installed the fog lamps at the place where the side reflectors are mounted, but the front suspension is cutting off the beam.

The best place should be somewhare in front.

            Do you have any idea?

No idea.... my bike is stock....you can try mounting it on a crash guard or bar if you have it....otherwise you have to make a small extension rod mountable on the side , and mount the light on it.

Any idea where I can get the hid kit fixed on to my zma-r in bangalore? tried with couple of shops in J.C. Road, but they were not willing to fix it unless i buy the kit from them.

                  Thanks,

Do we need relay for 55/60W bulbs? Will it cause any damage to reflector or something?

                          +1^,Why? For future proof?

                          Bosch/Roots horns with cutout
I am using Roots Windtone with Bosch Relay,Relay costed me 130Rs.

                          M35 2.75 front
Better stay away from M35,I had seen the tire,it wont suit karizma and wont offer much grip,On seeing its thread pattern,i think its good for splendor or passion.

How much does cbz crash gaurd cost?
Is it possible to replace the rear suspension to GRS?
And when i turn on the ignition my bike's clock resets, self start doesnt work and also horn. I've already replaced the battery(exide-7ah) under warranty at about 600kms. I completed 1700kms on my bike. Is my bike's battery dead?

I guess some loose connection problem if the battery is already checked for good. Did you get 7ah battery on your bike? I got white ZMA-R too, was given Exide 6ah MF.
