Could you please put it in simple language? Not able to understand when you say 'kept on going'; where?Originally posted by Manoj76 View PostI thumbed the self and it kept on going even after I took out the key from the ignition slot.RX100 1996 | Karizma 2004 | Karizma-R 2011 | RXZ 1999 | RX 135 1998 | RX 100 1993 | CBF150 2005 - 2011

There is no restriction on RPMs ...What kind of reving problems at high RPM ?You had mentioned that the bike did not return to idle RPM when you release the throttle ...Originally posted by MAXzma View PostHad around 3L of fuel in the bike. So added 6ml of Castrol 2T into the tank last nite.
I think the engine was not as smooth as before after the oil add. But after warm up it seemed to be fine. Will do it for some 5-6 litres of fuel and post if there are any differences..
But I did not ride the bike in high rpms.. The revving problem is there in somewhat high rpms only. Is it ok if I keep riding in low rpms or should I ride in high rpms too? When Was The Last Time,You Did Something For The First Time.

Since the entire carb and air filter will have vacum suction inside, you have to try following method....Originally posted by pabi View Postwill check for any air leaks near the rubber hose. Any specific method to check ,will i feel any air pressure near the leaking point?
Park the bike in center stand and start the bike...Apply soap or normal water throughout the hose..Rev the engine for 20 or 30 seconds, and stop...Now wipe the hose dry on the outside, and remove it..Inspect the inside of the hose for trace of water...
Second method is to close one end of hose with thick cloth, dip the hose till it's neck in water and blow through the open end..if you see air bubbles...you have found your air leak..This is done Just like the Tube puncture guy checks the tube for puncture. When Was The Last Time,You Did Something For The First Time.

Yes only when the bike is revvd a bit it does not come back to idle rpm. In low rpms it is not much noticeable. Anyways I have added the 2T oil. Will add for a few more liters of fuel and post the results.Originally posted by psr View PostThere is no restriction on RPMs ...What kind of reving problems at high RPM ?You had mentioned that the bike did not return to idle RPM when you release the throttle ...

LOL! My bad!Originally posted by SriramEfunds View PostCould you please put it in simple language? Not able to understand when you say 'kept on going'; where?
I pressed the self starter and it was engaging by itself even when I removed the key from the slot. I'm at my wit's end
What do I intend to do? Stuff ZMR drivetrain into an Ambition chassis and watch others run scared!

I think, it's time you change the ignition set.Originally posted by Manoj76 View PostLOL! My bad!

There are two possibilities.Originally posted by Manoj76 View PostLOL! My bad!

1. your self start button is not breaking contact when you release it...I mean the electrical circuit not the physical one..Try spraying WD40 or Zorrick in to the button area and see.
2. The starter relay center pole is magnetized and is not releasing the relay operation on release of starter button...remedy ..Change the starter relay.
since you say that even after switching off the Ignition key the starter relay continues to work ...it is most likely the Second point...Needs change of Starter Relay. When Was The Last Time,You Did Something For The First Time.

It is part no 10 in the pic. The relay sits to the left of the battery in ZMA till 2010, and to the right of battery after 2010.Originally posted by Manoj76 View Post@psr:
