Chennai - Vellore - Chennai -Short ride
      Odo Reading - 670 kms
      Petrol : 5 litres.

Ride: Pleasant, cruising around 60-80 kmph. Did couple of small blast and touched 100 once and 90. Engine was smooth and was able to rev without any problem. I did not notice any vibration at 80 but might have gone unnoticed during my sprint to 100.

Engine: Nothing unusual, still responded the same way. When reached home, the RPM was just touching 1.4. When given a boost during overtaking, the silencer note was audible. But, I liked the grunt when the throttle is cut during the ride, making some deep low bass.

Acceleration is quick, cruising at 80kmph was very relaxed today than last week where 60kmph was good 80 was bit reaching out.

This time did not take my camera to do a photo shoot. Anways, next weekend is always there!

Mines in high rpms too!! Really risky in highways.. Difficult to slow the bike down!

2T oil thingy in karizma? What is that?

The idea suggested by PSR sir "Check your Carb slider for smooth operation.A.S.S. or knowledgeable Mech can do it for you.....try adding 2ml of 2T per liter in the petrol tank and see..it may be able to lube the slide and make it ok...
Otherwise you have to remove the carb and get it checked...."

Dont think idling rpm is the problem. Cos it has been set to minimum. If I reduce further think the engine ll switch off..

@PSR sir: For how many liters of petrol should i try the 2T oil thingy? Now I think I have some 2 liters left..
Read my post it is clear there...It is 2 ml per Liter of petrol, and you can use it for at least the next 5 liters. If you have 2 liters now then you need to add 4 ml of 2 T.

By adding 2T of 2ml Per Liter in Petrol tank , the tank gets a thin oil coat which prevents rusting, keeps the float sensor working better, keeps the carb slide smooth, and gives upper cylinder lubrication.

                    • karizma stalls when i open throttle

when i try to start the bike it wont start if i give the slightest twist to throttle, it only manages to start[after several attempts] if i don't open the throttle and just press start , RPM remains around 1-1.5 K RPM with lot of fluctuations. Even if i pull choke slightly it stalls , i don't understand why is it behaving like this . Is it leaking air ? or taking in too much fuel into it.

Before this i opened the tank and made the breather pipe straight as it was bent and was blocking air flow .Also removed the air filter and cleaned the air filter holding box [not air filter] as it had some oil in it. I also removed the air filter exhaust pipe [don't know what its called]which connects the carb to air filter and cleaned with cloth . after this i fitted all and it refuses to start . It only manages to start when no throttle is given. Also tell me what is the extra chamber like thing which is attached to air filter exhaust pipe .

Sorry Vishakh, I had not reached the reserve from the day I took delivery, so still running in Main. At this point, economy might not be of good. Anyways, it's time to give it for first service and it's exactly 10 days in my hands.

When you apply choke , you will be letting in more petrol to make the AFR rich.If the bike stalls at this action then you should check for carb setup, and flooding with choke.

This is common, and if your bike starts without acceleration it is ok.If it refuses to start after you had removed and refitted the carb to air filter rubber hose, then you have air leak...check for proper fitment of this hose both at the carb and at the air filter end, and esp., look out for breakage and air leak in the hose itself.
Also tell me what is the extra chamber like thing which is attached to air filter exhaust pipe .
It is called Helmholtz resonator and is there to compensate for the air resonance at the inlet at specific RPM.

Had around 3L of fuel in the bike. So added 6ml of Castrol 2T into the tank last nite. I think the engine was not as smooth as before after the oil add. But after warm up it seemed to be fine. Will do it for some 5-6 litres of fuel and post if there are any differences.. But I did not ride the bike in high rpms.. The revving problem is there in somewhat high rpms only. Is it ok if I keep riding in low rpms or should I ride in high rpms too?
