Tail lamp loose connection?
Hi guys,
My ZMA R has done 6K & is 8 months old now. Usually I face problem with tail lamp. Sometime both bulbs dont work, sometimes one of them or sometimes both works properly. Last month the service center guy replaced one bulb with new one. But again in last 2 days it is giving the same problem.
Have anyone faced this issue? Any fixes for this problem?

Never has this problem myself. In one year eight months, had one bulb fused but replaced them both myself. BTW I use my bike everyday.Originally posted by smashing View PostHi guys,

Note: Some bulbs quality are cheap and the base are so low quality that it will not stay firmly inside the socket. I'm using genuine philips bulb. I compared with some other cheap brands side-by-side. There is a difference in overall quality.
If bulb is not fused, then its socket or wiring problem like loose connection somewhere or might even be the bulb itself as mentioned above.Comment

What do you mean by "does not work"?
It stops working completely or it stops n after sometime again starts working?
I have not faced this problem so far.
But I have seen many ZMAs whose 1 bulb is fused, moreover, many people have complained same.
Actual reason is still unknown.
Why not considering replacing them with LED lamps?
I am thinking of doing so in near future.Comment

@surendra: it stops working completely for couple of days, and then one bulb starts working. Replacing with LEDs,... hmmm... I've never seen ZMA with LED so have to see first how it will look. May be will wait till you do that

Had called up FC unit guy & he told me ready-made headlight assembly for ZMA would cost 5.5 grands & will be shipped anywhere in india.
In Mumbai, my brother told me, same set up can cost starting from 2K (chinese - chalu
) up to 4K (good quality).
But we will have to fit it in existing module which might incur some fitting charges & other difficulties.
Can we still it in Bengaluru itself?
Will have to roam in JC road sometime.

yeah....4.5k is kinda cheap... but i have no idea abt the Quality of Projectors used in the above given set up and Dont know how Good wil be the OUTPUT
Projectors are available in JC road... but fixing them into the stock Reflectors Requires lot of skill...patience...and time...

hey guys... my karizma r is 2 weeks old n done 600 on the odo.. yest while i was cleanin my alloys while the bike was on center stand i rotated the front wheel n it was making sum sound.. i mean it wasnt free n dere was friction when i rotated it.. is dat normal?? plz help

Guys I had a crash yesterday night and in the process the bike's left side hit the foothpath edge and the left rider footrest got damaged.The cast iron part that holds the footpeg is broken but I have the footpeg,went to a welder and he said that casting cannot be welded.
Cant I get it welded otherwise I will h ave to spend 1500 bucks and get the whole footrest assembly replaced.

Another problem which I am facing is that the rear right brake bulb does not glow when I switch on the headlights but it glows when I press the brake lever.I have change the bulb twice but still facing the same problem.Last edited by d@rk nemesis; 11-21-2010, 04:24 PM.Comment
