Don't know how that could happen .Originally posted by BOSS View Posthi.
i got a new karizma R done 4k. 2nd service done, the chain had been tightened more than required and this led my bike to over heat and the engine shut off. had too let it cool down for 20mins and then it started...

My chains also been overtightened a few times, but havent experienced anything like engine stalling after overheating.
Don't think there will be shortage of spares than there is now ..he he .Originally posted by raaz View PostHi all Karizma lovers.
I read on the net, that after the split of Hero and Honda,
the license for Karizma with Hero will last till 2014.
Wanted to know for sure, as later this model could be discontinued,
and may face spare / service shortages, as I want to buy a Karizma-R,
for touring.
Thanks in advance for all the suggestion/advice.
Even if there is you can sell your piece by piece as used spares
I don't think anything like that would happen . Just look on the road and see how many discontinued vehicles are there !!
Take care ...mostly after a spill , the pain comes after a night's sleep .Originally posted by shubhamAT View PostHad an unexpected spill at the lowest speed possible. I was taking a right turn in my apartment's driveway when the front wheel slipped over some electrical wires and since i was wearing sandals today because of an ingrown toenail (instead of orazo) my right leg too slipped on the wire coil.
Result: Bike lay flat on the ground and i stumbled few steps until i almost hit a pillar. Luckily the cheap riding glove on the left hand took the entire impact. I recollected myself, stopped the still running bike and proceeded to office. Bike is alright and i don't have any injuries but upper left of my back and whole of the right leg are sprained.
It's funny that i negotiate that turn and the wires daily but i ran out of luck today. Will have to go home early to rest my leg.

I am aware of the average life of disc brake pads on ZMA R but i had installed new pads before my Ladakh trip in which it was used to max like 3.5k and then i used it under normal use for like 8k KMS so basically my current pads have done 11.5k and are still working fine.I have to do a trip which is ~2000kms so is it necessary to change my disc pads to avoid getting them changed in the middle of my trip ?

What to do brother! Take care and be more alert. Get well soon!!!
Alright!Originally posted by Pinaki View PostYah , I completely feel for you and your throttle hand
, been riding in this city for last 25 years or so , but what to do .. since you can't change all the people , we have to change ourselves to the road conditions and slow down to 20 to survive .
Ok , then just call up Guddu'Jee at that number and ask him if he has the model number of the G-power you want . He's a very helpful and friendly guy , himself a biker .
hahahahaha....Originally posted by shhbz View PostAh! Worst thing today in my locality around 15 bikes got naked
as All their looking glass were stolen in the afternoon time in beteen 3-4 pm including mine. Feel like if i catch the person will force the mirror rod in his back and he will never stole again.sorry for my language but it was a bad experience a small nap in afternoon and all gone.
Really pissed off . OK now can someone suggest me an alternative for mirror glass can i go for rtr ones or should i fix karizma default ones.
and how would be your reaction when you gotta see that one day after you installed dazzler mirrors they were stolen as well
So whats next? Remote lock??
Check for the thickness and just a simple tip from my side if you can wash it with water jet before the trip, it would be nice. Because the pads wear faster when they are dirty!Originally posted by n4speed View PostI am aware of the average life of disc brake pads on ZMA R but i had installed new pads before my Ladakh trip in which it was used to max like 3.5k and then i used it under normal use for like 8k KMS so basically my current pads have done 11.5k and are still working fine.I have to do a trip which is ~2000kms so is it necessary to change my disc pads to avoid getting them changed in the middle of my trip ?

P.S.: Happy birthday to myself!

(grandmothers cures). You will feel better, also continue with your doc's
prescription, if any. Take care buddy, wishing you a speedy recovery.Last edited by raaz; 03-30-2012, 10:54 PM.

thanks brother .. nah no more drinks and no more fall!!
And I don't think R15v2.0 would be called as an upgrade for a Karizma rider, both being 17PS, just different categories.Last edited by sunny_; 03-31-2012, 04:34 AM.
