@all: how much does a stock RR unit cost??
Test with a digital Meter...a fully charged battery at idle RPM will show 13.25,and a half charged one will show 13.8~14...and a dead battery will also show 14 Volts since the Cells have died and the battery no longer poses a load to the charging system....
With a Digital meter if at idling the meter shows 12.8 and rises to 13 at 3 K RPM,then either the stator coil or RR is suspect....

Here in Mumbai, we have a shop who sells after market parts. Just went and asked for a zma crash guard. It costed me 550/- bucks.

@ Ravi : I`ll check up here if these rubbers are available. Will let you know tomorrow.

Thanks Ryan. No M45 is not tubeless. Its a tube type tyre.

I felt like laughing at the same time so much of frustration. So I've gone all the way to stock some consumables for ZMA else would be shown an empty hand by these so called SVC.
The bike's one of the throttle cable is kaput and running on the other. However, have the cables so it is just matter of time will have this done. SVC has no stock.
Sriram, I usually stock the essentials spares. In fact, I have been telling the same since the thread is started. As of now, I have clutch and accelerator cables in stock with me. I have been trying to buy the rubber parts since very long, but never I was able to find these spares anywhere. Now I need to them to secure the front fairing assembly, which is shaky

          Thanks man!

Now, I am in a dilemma about the tyres for my ZMA. There are two options for me. One is both front and back Sirac Street, and the second one is front Sirac Street and back M45. M45 has got excellent reviews and Sirac Street got only good reviews. Also, which combination would be good as a whole? Does Sirac Street at front and M45 work better than Sirac Street at both?

Confused a bit. I was told M62 front tyre to be excellent, especially in combination with m45 at rear, but its not available now.

          • Yaar, I just loved the color yesterday i saw KARIZMA R in white color..

I am in love with that color, i asked for the price its 87,000 rs approx (on road)

I have no doubt abt karizma performance as i already had the same in past in the year 2008, but sold the same within 18 months, as got bad accident, as a result their parts at that time are really costly, fornt fearing if i rememebered correctly it was cost around 8,000rs....

What abt current situation , any further improvement in engine or its remains that same, what are the drawback + & - .

            Please elaborate this..

I am staying in new Delhi

Congrats on the 25k milestone Vishal! My ride's aux lights are also inspired by those huge Hellas you have on your Fiero. I have also spoken to you regarding this if you remember!

My ride also hit the 50k milestone last weekend. Guess the clutch plates need a replacement now! Apart from that all is good..

I am currently running on Sirac street at rear and zapper FS. I switched to Sirac street after using the M45 for 24k kms and did not get the M45 anywhere. Sirac street cannot beat the M45 in any terms like grip in wet & dry, ride stability and the bigger tyre looks . The SS lacks that grip & confidence that the M45 gives you.

I would suggest the M45 at the rear & the sirac street at front. Have heard good reviews of this setup.

Congrats to you also on hitting the 50k mark.
On the Fiero I had initially 2 but then removed 1 from right.

Aaaarrghh!!!!! Minor stroke. Me had to do a lot or research and had to go through a dozen shops to find a compatible one. Youre very lucky to have acquired it real easy. Btw I use the one from cbf125, not as good as yours but does the job.

newer models have better mileage figures, but lacks the punch which previous models had, and yeah the newer models when redlined vibes a lot comparing to the older models.

@vaishag. Bro I'm back in station. Feel free to come and collect the fuses.

Ravi, Michelin has withdrawn the M45 due to a large number of complaints, especially about uneven wear on these tyres. This is what a Michelin representative told me when I was hunting for the almost extinct M45.

I have the Sirac Street 2.75 front and 3.00 rear tyres on my RX and would recommend them to you. I hear the SS is available in 100/90 and perhaps 110/90 as well.

If you choose to buy Michelin, they are available at Prakash Tyres, a tyre and wheel alignment shop located on Tilak Road off Abids.

In fact both use the bike once in 3 or 4 days only now,and our batteries are good...The only difference is both have Aluminum heatsink for the RR unit, to safe guard the unit against heavy charge /discharge condition.
The ZMA generator can produce 15 amps of current at 3 K RPM,and so charging of the battery is not a problem.................

9 Ah battery since 2011 November/December . 55/60 W Halonix headlight bulb with relay , dual horns with relay . Tail light bulb is 5/10 W each and rear indicator bulbs are 10 W each ( haven't changed the front indicator bulbs ) . Park lights are LED . Mixed riding - medium rpm in top gear and medium to high rpm in 3rd and 4th gear with occasional 7k to 8k rpm .
So far so good . Meter haven't reset since I've changed to 9Ah , no starting problem , H/L dimming and horns sounding low haven't happened so far . It isn't maintenance free ( I think -I had swapped it off my P180 so don't even remember the brand ) so have to check it soon

Yeah if he did 100kmph in 3rd gear. His explanation of the bike not starting soon after the incident also matches to the auto cut off, cause if the bike was lean then it's start without issues the next time he cranked especially since he used choke.

                        Spot on point sir.

But still he needs to upjet. Cause he's running a free flow with stock jets.

Yes most modern bikes with Digital Ignition have this..It is a Electronic Rev limiter which cuts the spark power going to the Ignition coil.
