You can place anywhere u like, nothing will happen coz water will not get inside relay.

          • Hi , Guys today upgraded my ZMA with a new AIR filter - its UNI air filter . The performance of it is best , as it is a foam air filter . from 0-100 kmph is much quick compared to k&n and gives better mileage compared to k&n at normal riding speed .

Angel in CITY , DEMON on HIGHWAY .

You can do it without removing the tank, but its a bit tricky.

Local Relays are not sealed and water will enter if exposed to water during rain or washing.[Self Experience]. Locals are avail for 40-50rs,roots are avail for 70 or 80rs,forgot the exact price and cover it with a plastic cover to protect it from water,Now i am using Bosch Sealed Horn Relay in my car, water proof. But its 175RS.

'That thing costs 2.3k here. I've heard its the best for ZMA.
Whats your current mainjet size? I'd not recommend anything above or below 135.
Set the AFR at 6~8 Turns, else you'll loose alot of initial torque.

Oh!, and almost forgot, do a direct carb bolt on. Cause from experience, you use any kind of manifold/re-routing, you'll pay the price eventually.

                  • hi guys...
i wasn't active in xbhp for sometime now as my zma was in 2 ASCs for 6 months...
finally got the bike after some major parts replaced & full engine overhaul...
still not satisfied with the bike as it is emitting faint blueish smoke & heavy white smoke while cold starts...
when i enquired, the ASC is saying that is old oil in the silencer & told to wait for 200kms... now 150kms is over & smoke is still there...

the ASCs my zma was serviced are,
Travancore Motors, Cherthala (please dont give your bike for service here... they know nothing)
Aswathy Motors, Haripad (they know atleast somethings)

the parts i changed & the prices are mentioned below... hope someone finds it useful...

It does feel great to have a tank of petrol between your legs & explosions just under it.

                    • ^You could have discussed among KL owners on servicing part. If I remember the Kollam service center which Aneesh and Ashwin used to frequent earlier had only shared some good reviews. Anyways, do visit the svc and let them know that you were not satisfied and smoke emits from the exhaust, your next step will be escalation to HMC by complaining.

Have u seen the size of relay that is used in electronic components for example, in todays ups or stabilizer or inverter. Its very small in size, perfectly sealed, can handle power upto 20 Amps and available for Rs.10. And thats what i'm using from 4 years without any problem. Dont need to spend 70-80 or 175 just for relay.

Good that you checked in many places. Cos I got a quote of 5.5k for the same combo, just a few shops ahead from where I bought these tires. I've got Ceat Gripp on the front and I stay in Murugeshpalya.
