It will be as per our requirements,My painter gave me two options Metallic and Pearlrecent Black(the one with shining like that of Hunk.) Pearlrecent was very costly.

    • It seems every new bike is set to lean, maybe the SVC does it, My bike too was lean, thanks to Psr sir and Vishal Joshi (imjoshee) for helping me in identifying it, Thanks again to Vishal for introducing me to Kevin from Mahim Fort Point. My bike used to heat up a lot & after Kevin did the settings its cool

Yes all new ZMA-R comes with 2~2.5 turns of AFR which is lean...it should be 3~3.5 minimum....

Hope this helps you. The exact color code of your bike will be mostly available with the all the paint brands like sikkens, dupont, standox, duco etc... I guess yours is normal jet black without metal flakes as i see in your display picture. To get a good finish use any of the three from (dupont, sikkens, standox). Dupont is easily available If you wish to get a good new glossy finish like a new tank, take the paint and clear separately, paint it and get it clear coated on top(but this would be a bit costly).

NGK DPR 8 EGP is same as DPR 8 EGP-9 except that the EGP-9 comes with a factory pre-set gap of 0.9mm,and the normal EGP plug gap must be set as required.
Sir, my carburetor is stock tuned, I am getting an average 35 km/l. Does any modification affect fuel efficiency?
anyway what is the recommended turns of AFR screw? 3 or 3.5 ?
Can I use 55/60w bulbs in my 6ah battery?

Lean AFR translates to more mileage and rich AFR to lesser mileage.
So, if you're getting 35 kmpl in Lean setting, means you'd get lesser in rich. Hope I made sense!

Regarding the number of turns, I guess 3.5 is the optimal number, but I'll wait to hear from psr sir, sriram sir, aneesh, ashwin and other experienced ZMA riders for this.
55/60w on a 6AH is pretty much possible. I have been using the same for over 6 months now without any issues. Didn't bother with relays and stuff either.
                    Simply, plug and play.

Just out of curiosity, what's your riding pattern? Do you upshift upwards of 5-6k RPM all the time?

                    • Guys , I found that MOTUL 20w50 4T Engine is better long drive with continues speed 100 kmph+ engine creates less heat compared to Castrol power 1 . As i have fitted an UNI aftermarket Air filter in my zma during both oil . But happy with MOTUL performance now .

usually i ride between 4-5k, sometimes in the highway i accelerate beyond 6k. As advised by psr sir, I always avoid for sudden acceleration too.

Some of our xbhp friends are getting FE more than 40. what may be the reason. please advice me bro.

Lean settings and 35kmpl is too less I feel so, consider recalculating? when my bike was running lean I used to get around 40 kmpl. Its now come down to 35-38. I ride at 60kmph.

Yes bro I too feel the same, but I am quiet sure for that as I have tested a lot of times.

@All, please post neat step by step procedure for AFR setting for ZMA 2012

I have already searched different posts in this forum, but confused.

from PSR sir's previous post on 9th aug 2011: "Turn the afr screw clockwise Gently till it stops...then turn it anti-clockwise by 4 full 360 degrees turn....If you want FE turn it clockwise by one full turn from this position .."

please let us know whether we have to do this in engine-off and stock idle RPM setting or not ?

                              Thanks in advance.

The person who did the settings for me did it with the engine off, then he started the engine and did the final fine tuning in idle.
