i couldn't adjust the gap of my old ngk iridium ix plug perfectly so wanted to put a new plug temporarily. I went to a nearest motorcycle spares dealer and he gave me this plug for 150 rs (Bosch platinum iridium), it looks the same as the ngk iridium which i had previously. Is any one having an experience with this plug .

The direction is if you are coming from acharya vihar then as soon as you cross nicco park traffic and you will come to exhibition ground traffic. The left goes to exhibition ground and the straight goes to PMG square. On the right go to the reliance fresh and in that line you will get the last shop as RAJDHANI SCOOTER HOUSE.
Usually on monday, wednesday, friday and saturday sometimes you can find me there from night 8:30 to 9:00.

And i forgot to congratulate on you trip to ghatagaon. You must have passed jajpur road on your way and it is my hometown. I used to stay there till 10th class and you must have passed our school on way- St. mary's school. My joy was bought from there and since ghatagaon is only 60 km from there i made innumerable trips to there on my joy. Even you know anybody who buys bike or any vehicle in jajpur road goes to tarini in ghatagaon to worship.
My joy was also worshiped there and look it is running strong even now. Even after 10th class when i came to bhubaneswar to pursue further studies, i went to ghatagaon numerous times on my joy.
In all i can say i have taken my joy for as many as 70 times to ghatagaon.
I thought after buying extreme i will go to ghatagaon but even after one year, i cannot go as this job is not allowing for the trip.
Sorry, for this long post as on seeing my hometown i was little emotionally motivated.

Yes, this is a quite good plug and also less expensive, but be sure to get original. Bosch platinum are very good but lack of marketing is not helping them.

Hi mate I also purchase NGK G-power DPR8EGP-9 from authorize retailer @ Rs120 MRP was Rs140. But packaging was old really old 10/07. Soon going for my next service, once I plugged will let you know.

Its the thing which actuates choke. The choke cable is connected to this and this is connected to the carb. In my case, I ruined it by over torquing after which bike rpm started fluctuating, and sometimes the bike'd die, when hot.

Hello friends, wanted to share my experience after changing to Gulf Pride 4t plus(20W40). This engine oil is the best so far, engine feels really smooth with well muffled sound no tappet noise and engine heating has become like any other motorcycle you have ridden really good one and I highly recommend this oil for Karizma. For the first hundred km there wasnt any apparent change but after that it feels like I am riding a totally different bike.

Whats the rating of the oil used by the service centres? I thought it was 10W40. If that is the case; would 20W40 grade oil suffice for the bike?

Chennai HeroMoto SVC used 10w30. Even the manual says 10w30 is the recommended oil grade, hence you'd get the same @ the SVC

Had been to Chikmagalur for the Inter-State G2G Meet. ZMA performed top notch. Was able to cruize at 110 without any vibes or wobble due to cross winds. The engine was running with Motul 7100 FS single esther. Would recommend this oil for long tours includes ghat sections.

Sad thing happened:-During the trip after visiting view point (Mulayangiri) I a was pillion taking video, after 20 meters from the start began steep climb and my friend had not downshifted from 2nd gear. Vehicle knocked and stopped. As we both were heavyweight champions the bike dragged backwards. I believe he remembered to release clutch but then gravity pulled heavy and with some resistance with our foot fell on the ground. Actually it was funny. No one hurt but the footpeg clamp (assembly) broke. Not even a scratch to the body of bike, thanks to the protective gears on us.

Then from there managed to get the bike to plains and decided to head towards Chikmagalur for HMC. As usual, they did not have foot peg assembly stock. Even CBZ-X not compatible. So approached alternative method - Welding. Again the welder said this is aluminum, hence you'll need to go to another place where they do Aluminum weld works.

Approximate cost of foot peg assembly from HMC is around 700 bucks, I got the stop gap fix for 110/- for weld and 40/- for getting it fixed.





The whole process of welding was so unbelievable and finish was excellent. KA is no doubt is land of 2 wheelers.

I got mine replaced last Monday; Rs 125 for the entire assembly (footpeg, rubber & the clamp inside inclusive of 2 8mm bolts) & that's Honda. Why's it so expensive for ZMA? Any thoughts?
