According to my retailer friend who sells hero and bajaj spares, this is common and most customers come for cable.Originally posted by jpZMA View PostOk sir.. but i used to fill 2-300 bucks and lasts for 2-3 day only... so i asked.

Since cable doesn't comes under warranty so you have to pay.
But the problem is the inner wire is not supplied by hero any more and you have to change cable for RS.120.
But your cable is good and only the inner wire is cut, so it is a wastage of money.
But there is a solution. My friend stocks the inner wire as he makes them by ordering from a cuttack company who specializes in making inner wires.
So, if you please then you can come to my friends shop and get the inner wire for Rs.20 and lubricate and fit and will last more than new cables. In a speedo cable, the inner wire gets damaged and all else are good. So by fitting new inner wire and lubricating the cable it will last for another year or two and will save a lot of money.Photo of my joy- http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/854067-post963.html-3.88 lac km cont....Ownership review of my joy- http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/832255-post608.html- slowly updating as and when getting time. How much do we have to pay for the pinion (speedo worm gear as told by PSR sir) ? Anyone has any idea?

Thanks friend. but i had already changed the inner cable for 23rs. BTW i am not worried to change the cable under warranty, but worried about such a rapid worn i.e. in just 3500 kmsOriginally posted by sibun View PostAccording to my retailer friend who sells hero and bajaj spares, this is common and most customers come for cable.

Could someone please post the AFR adjustment screw? I only know about the screw which adjusts the idle rpm. When I asked the Hero mechanics to tune the carb, they said there is no adjustment possible on a ZMA.
I know that's not right, so want some inputs from all of you.Ride Safe. Respect others on the road.

While applying my disc brake i can hear some smooth murmuring sound coming from the disc. is it common in all ZMAs ?
BTW i like that sound, but afraid for any issue.Last edited by jpZMA; 10-16-2012, 02:16 PM.I really can't define myself without my bike

It might happen when you ride in rain, muddy roads, due to dust/soil/pebble particles getting stuck to the disc pads. Get a wash of the disc pads with pressurized jet.Originally posted by jpZMA View Postyes original one costs 23 rupees

@jpZMA: Follow what sunny said for the sound. A good wash and the sound will be gone. Also for the speedo issue did you change the pinion(speedo worm gear), or the cable. In most probability it is that part which went kaput. In my initial days with the zma, this got broken twice with in the first 3 months.Last edited by shirish; 10-16-2012, 04:32 PM.karizmatic

Sorry friend, you might have asked for the pinionOriginally posted by sunny_ View PostIt might happen when you ride in rain, muddy roads, due to dust/soil/pebble particles getting stuck to the disc pads. Get a wash of the disc pads with pressurized jet.
After 3 times wash in 10 days, the result is same as before. is it harmful ??
Yes i am riding in quite muddy roads.
No, friend i changed the cable only as on the above picture. and the speedometer works as before.Originally posted by shirish View Post@jpZMA: Follow what sunny said for the sound. Are you sure you're talking about the disc pads wash? Or just a bike wash?Originally posted by jpZMA View PostAfter 3 times wash in 10 days, the result is same as before. is it harmful ??

Again, are you sure that pads are okay? We get some sound when the pads are almost completely worn out, due to metal-metal wear and tear. But observing quite a young age of your bike I don't think that the pads are gone so early.
We have to wash it properly, and then with some old toothbrush or something like that...you getting it?
