Just feel like a change is in order. It's pretty hard trying to remain stock, after a while you loose the thrill's and set out to find the frill's.Originally posted by sunny_ View PostAshwin bro, you too going for K&N now?
Whats the need?
And, also would love to see what this engine is capable of doing with just some mod's and believe me this is the safest one out there.
Have'nt fixed on the RC1060 yet, also looking at the Cosworth CWCFBK1001. And once the carb's opened for Jet replacement, am also planning on experimenting abit with the return spring.Motorcycling Experience:

The bike heats only when lean and to compensate for that I'd be opting for a 140main jet. Usually only a 135main is needed, but I went for the 140's cause its a bored one and costs only 250/-.Motorcycling Experience:

Yes, ZMA needs that modification.
RTR comes with stock Exide 9Ah battery and AFAIK Amaron 9Ah is a direct fit.

Well , procrastination and laziness got the better of me . The work shop I'd banked on was two work men short and I returned home and sat in front of the TV . Finally @ 4 PM decided to see what it takes to put o a new speedo gear . Just one nut got the wheel out . took out the nylon gear but the metal gear stayed put . Thought ' what the hell , it's metal' and let it be . Put in the new nylon gear and put back the tire in , connected the speedo cable and as far as I can see it's working fine . It took me nearly 40 minutes this time , but now that I know what to do it'd take just 10 minutes next time .Originally posted by acs1207 View PostI had connected what I think is the old Splendor cable . It was maybe 3 or 4 inches longer . Today got the original one and guess what ...the meter wasn't working at all . The roadside mech said - 'take it to the meter repair shop' . I took a 'star' screwdriver from him and with the help of Vineeth bro got to work . When the front wheel was turning the cable was like 3 quarter turn then stop then 3 quarter turn and so on . Means the gear is gone . Most probably when the cable broke , it jammed and damaged the nylon gear too . Any way , bought one (speedo gear) and hope to do the DIY this week end . In the mean while , have disconnected the cable from the speedo end to prevent damage to the socket there .
..............................
Mine's a bit tight ( the indicator switch ) and will try to open it up this week end .
Also have to clean my carb since the engine stutters ( and goes on only if I give choke ) if I rev the engine above 6-7k rpm for 15 or 20 seconds .
Seems like a whole lot to do this week end since I have to over haul my front brake as well .
Well , procrastination is one of my favorite hobbies and laziness is another . Let's see...
Brake job and carb has to wait . Maybe I'll do it from outside .
@ psr - you'd asked me to turn the afr screw , but the problem arises after I've revved for @ 15 to 20 secs . Couldn't it be a case of fuel flow to the carb being limited ? I'm planning on checking the condition of the fuel tap filter first .
Indicator switch cleaning --- ha ha ha ....my FiL saw the Zorrik canister and read on it that it cleans moisture . He asked my kid to use it on the curtain ( to get rid of moisture !!
) in my kids room . My son did it dutifully ...

(he emptied the can ) and my Fil had to sleep in the kids room 'cause the kids wouldn't ... because of the smell ...!!!

Bikes lean beyond hope, cause it works fine when cold, and craps out when hot.Originally posted by acs1207 View Post@ psr - you'd asked me to turn the afr screw , but the problem arises after I've revved for @ 15 to 20 secs .
Child logic. Once my friend used WD40 to fix my ignition key, and told me it gets rid of dirt and moisture. So a few weeks later was cleaning my LCD and the dirt would'nt go, so sprayed WD40 on it and cleaned it, was perfect. But after a few days of using a layer of liquid developed within the layers of the LCD and settled at the bottom, the screen looked like a half filled aquariumIndicator switch cleaning --- ha ha ha ....my FiL saw the Zorrik canister and read on it that it cleans moisture . . And my dad gave me the biggest *Facepalm he'd ever given if his lifetime, the only issue was that, it was my face and his palm.
