Regarding M45 /18 I think Mr.Sriram may be able to help you.

The Ninja pads are straight fit on the ZMA. They are made of Sintered metal and has really good grab power...There will be a hissing sound whenever you brake along with small clicking sound in tune with speed as the holes in Disc cross the pad in rotation.
Costs about 1,350/-.. worth every penny of it.
What is the make of 250R pads? Nissin? And how much the pads of Karizma now?

Guess I was the last few customers who was able to get hold of M45, however, when last known, KL member tried to get one, the dealer jacked up the price when he enquired, was quoted 2800/-, whereas I got it got 2200/-.

2.Any place where Valvoline FS oil is available. This used to be one of the best oils I had used on a ZMA. And Suddenly even this has become extinct from Bangalore.
In chennai, we were able to get the Valvoline lube off the shelf. What's the grade you looking at?

I've used this oil sourced from B'lore 3 years back on my Unicorn. VFM. It's hard to source it here but not impossible.

Both ZMA and Ninja comes with Nissin. However, as PSR Sir said the material is different. From my recent tour can tell you that my braking has been greatly improved or rather say effective than brake pads came with the bike (ZMA). After some run, the pads bedded properly and was able to see the difference. Since both costs the same, thought why not I try this, and I found new joy.

We used to get the oil from Mumbai and we order a crate or two and share among.

Thanks for the information, its really helpful. Glad to see alternative pads for Karizma; we still remember paying 1500 and 2200 for pads with no good alternative. I even used ASK pads for 100 rupees.

How did I forget? Yes, RTRs a direct fit and second option.

Cherry agencies or something similar on JC road. its in the same building that houses the HH spares distributor. Im not very familiar with the place but after that multistory car park, walk a bit ahead till you find a road on the left. Just at that corner there is a 4 wheeler tyre shop(owned by NikhilB). Turn onto that road and walk ahead around 50 meters and you should be able to see the shop on the right! They have a lotta tyres hanging outside! I paid 2.6k iirc on my last visit to blore!

            Cheers!

Thanks! I will soon rectify this. Today, I observed that when I down the throttle from speeds and change gear and reaccelerate, there is a jerk/tak sound at the rear sprocket constantly coming. Its not happening in high gears, but its mostly happening in 2 and 3 gears, and it happens in the lower rpm range. Is this because of wornout chain and sprocket? Or anything else. Please advice.

Something similar happens to my ZMA too . But I've got it in higher gears as well . I've changed the rubber parts in the rear hub , but that was not it . Next I've to check the condition of the sprocket and also the sprocket bolts .

                  Anybody tried this ?

I had purchased the M45 from Cherry agencies a year back.
But i recall Santa buying them for much cheaper from somewhere in Vijaynagar. P.M him for details. It might also be a old stock he picked up at a older price, but anyways you can check with him.

Can we replace the indicator with thsat of P220's? Heard that their stem is more flexible, so doesnot breaks off easily.

Even when the pillion gets on And when they swing their leg over the seat to get over... scares me a lot. It nearly misses hitting the indicator all the time..

                            • In my case its me myself that knocks the rear indicator, happened umpteen number of times. Yet hasn't broken off yet.

Today my speedo stopped working, so took it to the SVC and they said that the whole cable set has to be replaced costing a 560rs, where as last time the cable was available at 125rs. So what should I do guys???

Rigid indicators are prone to breaking . 13 yrs with my RX didn't see a single broken indicator even after some spills ... The rubber section took care of that .The plastics looked as if a German Sheppard had a night out with them though !!!

What did they mean by 'cable set' ?The cable alone ( with the outer) shouldn't cost that much ! Are they planning to change the gears in the wheel hub as well ? Did you check it ? I mean , whether the cable is rotating when the wheel is turned.. You can just disconnect it at the meter end and check . If it's not , then remove the connection at the wheel and check whether the gear is OK ..

Mebbe they've had enough of your pestering and decided to make it worth their time !!!
