Just gives you detention for some time for being naughty in classOriginally posted by ryan.virgo View PostWill the bike start on its own later? or do we need to do something for it to start ?
. Switch off the key and wait for some time , switch it on and start the bike . I guess it is to prevent damage to the engine when running at high rpm for a long time .

Naveen, glad to see you after a long time. Hope you and your Karizma are doing fine.Originally posted by nirvan View PostRavi, Michelin has withdrawn the M45 due to a large number of complaints, especially about uneven wear on these tyres. This is what a Michelin representative told me when I was hunting for the almost extinct M45.
I have the Sirac Street 2.75 front and 3.00 rear tyres on my RX and would recommend them to you. I hear the SS is available in 100/90 and perhaps 110/90 as well.
If you choose to buy Michelin, they are available at Prakash Tyres, a tyre and wheel alignment shop located on Tilak Road off Abids.
Yes, the M45 is stopped right now. But today I got hold of one (old stock) from a Michelin dealer. M45 + SS 2.75 for 3850 (never thought I would spend this much for tyres; I bought MRF front tyre of Karizma for 750 in 2008 and M45 for 1600 in 2009).

. I have to get a job soon to buy new tyres
. Parents are already worried that I am manic about my bike. I also started to think I am one but today when I saw ashwin and aneesh DIY' ing ashwins bike
I got really stunned.
Thanks a ton for getting me the fuses aswhin
. Owe you.
Well regarding the soft rev limiter and remedy. I have often faced with the same problem. But the thing is I didnt rev the bike but accidentally popped the clutch and bike jerked and died off. And after that when I tried to start the bike the bike will start but when I open throttle it will go off. RPM needle was at 1000. It should be 1.5k when hot.
But when I switched off the ignition and then turned it on the bike became normal. Now I can tell this for sure because all the time it happened it was the same way. First I thought it was the CDI, is there some minior glitch in the new karizma,s ?

Went for the Cosworth. Was running perfectly on 3turns AFR with stock jet. But the de-acceleration was abit sticky(Maybe cause of my stuck throttle.) so upped to 4 turns, and everything going fine.
Always welcome. Thanks a ton for getting me the fuses aswhin

Lemme know. After the intake upgrade, my bike's hard limiter is @ 9.7~9.8k before it was only 9.5~9.6k.there some minior glitch in the new karizma,s ?

Guys..does zma's rectifier matches with any other bike's? The trust worthy mech of mine insist that CBZ xtreme's and few other hero 150cc bike's rectifiers are same as zma. pl shed some light on this..its really irritating to ride without proper self start and headlight."safety will be the sturdy child of terror, and survival the twin brother of annihilation"

0~60 just a minor difference, or maybe none. 0~100 hell yeah!!!, touches 120+/- Kmph on the same stretch of road where is used to do 110+/- Kmph. But I feel that its not about acceleration. It just makes the engine rev freely, meaning you wont notice any strain of the engine even while riding hard, but when you look at the tacho its in the redline.Originally posted by rajdiceman View PostBro
what was diffrence u fell after fitting cosworth ? 0 - 60 or 0-100 kmph .
Go for the ZMR ones, they look better. And also dont forget to buy the clamps as well.Originally posted by rajdiceman View PostThe most common problem in zma r is the front mud guard which gets damage when ever bike goes in pot hole .
i was thinking to fit ZMR front mudguard to my zma r can it get fit or any 1 had tryed it ?Motorcycling Experience:

Ravi, yes, it has been a while. My Karizma has made way for a Duke, I miss the bike which is one of the reasons why I'm hanging around in this thread.Originally posted by ravi@17bhp View PostNaveen, glad to see you after a long time. Hope you and your Karizma are doing fine.

Tyre prices are really unbelievable, I spent Rs. 3400 on a pair of Michelin SS tyres for my RX, pretty crazy considering a pair of tyres cost Rs. 800 for the same bike, although it was a long time ago. Incidentally, the Michelin SS pair cost a couple of hundreds less than MRF!

Guys, I have been having issues with my bike's self start. I got the battery and starter relay checked and both seem to be fine. I mean self start works if and when it desires.
The mechanic said that the start motor carbon might have gone bad, something like that. I was then checking out the Karizma catalogue and found something about a "carbon bush spring", could someone help me with the issue and help me zero in on the faulty part that the mechanic might be referring to.

A revving video is needed, to get an idea about the change in the "sound"Originally posted by ashwinprakas View PostWent for the Cosworth. Was running perfectly on 3turns AFR with stock jet. And are you still on stock jets? You had said that you'll upjet?

Parts 2 & 3.one is the brush and the other is the spring which keeps it pressed against the commutator....it is the brush you need to change.Originally posted by harishsangwan View PostThe mechanic said that the start motor carbon might have gone bad, something like that.
