Honda unicorn endurance clutch plate. Sometimes they didn't feet with ring that why my mechanic rub them. More than 2500 Km and still working smooth like butter. Paid Rs350

So zapper are better compare to other, if yes then in what ways.

Basically Zappers are tried and tested rigorously by the manufacturers and the result is that they give you the best mix of grip, endurance, straight-line/cornering stability etc

If you used all the 5 plates if honda, you will have to adjust your clutch differently. Or else, ideally, you will have to use the end plate( the last one which is thin and black) from the zma bought seperately

            @all: any thoughts on this.

Also have been facing another issue with the self starter. Till the last few days bike didnt start at the first crank and the trip meter and clock would reset. and now the self doesnt work etal. it makes a krrrrrr noise when i press the starter and the display dims. Thought it could be an issue with the battery as my ride is 3 yrs old(2009 Nov). But the horn, headlight and indicators all work without any issues. could this be an issue with some fuse or with the battery?

P.S: Planning to upgrade the battery to a 9ah one in couple of weeks.[/QUOTE]

Check Battery voltage . If OK check battery connection. Does the H/L dim when the brake lights are on or when the indicators flash ? 9ah battery is a wise choice .

Have to check these this weekend. And the H/L doesnt dim during brake light or indicator operation. But the horn gets weak when the headlight and indicators are on. Another thing is the tail lamps are always on. They get into life as soon as i turn on the ignition key. Could this be due to an incorrect connection (near the rear brake lever)

If its the relay, when you press starter nothing happens, not even the usual relay click.

                    • Hello Friends , the rear plastics of my bike have cracked up very badly at three places. I want to fix this by joining the broken parts with a metal or aluminium strip, but how do i fix the strip to the fiber ? will i have to drill holes and screw the strip to it of is there another way ?

Even If i replace the broken parts with news ones can you please suggest me a way by which I can prevent the new parts from cracking up like this ?

Go to 4-wheeler garages and ask for the guy who repairs the bumpers. These guys join up various kind of plastics and reinforce them. Mind you, very few garages do these services. Most of these plastic guys work independantly. Good luck.

                        • That was cool. Finally some relief from "please topup the battery" in every service. I've got this yesterday. But didn't get enough time to have the latch welded and all. The guy who replaced it did a desi jugaad and used a wire to put the battery in place. I'll get the latch welded.

I gave my Amco battery and they charged me 1700/- for it here in Pune.

Amaron 9Ah MF battery-1650RS(Kollam,Kerala) Only 4 Years Warranty,2 Years replacement and 2years repair.Company had reduced the warranty due to loss with 5year warranty.

Bended the clamp at the beginning.

Then made the another end as L.

Bolted the clamps,Its perfect. Thanks to the welder,A rikshaw welder, but done exactly as my order.
NB:Bending the cage fill reduce its length,So i have to add piece by welding.

                          Battery Seated in place.

                          After connecting the terminals.

You can see side open after fixing the side body flat screw,But its ok,i it will fit correctly if we push it and it wont jump out when we enter a pothole or something,It's completely fit.

                          Welding charges RS20,Total RS1670.

                          • Ah, I've been through this. A friend took my ZMA and had a nasty fall. All those joints which had screws cracked up. I was able to mend some using feviquick but some are not holding up.

Sad to hear that. After fixing the joint with feviquick, apply m-seal around the joint to reinforce. It would work like a wonder.
